Gender locked race?

I play a Raen male.

The concept art of Viera male look even more masculine and amazing.

Nor did I say that Viera male is some hammer breaking a vase, but the point is that I can understand SE wanting to adhere to the lore with Viera male being extremely rare and mythical, and to make it believable they lock the gender as to not have the playerbase interfere with that illusion.

I don't get why that's the line for them though they've already broken that lore line with other races.
