Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

I've been playing since the launch of 2.0 and this is perhaps the only time I've used the forums. I am very disappointed in the decision to genderlock races, to me this is a step backward for SE. You told us that there would not be genderlock back for relaunch and here you are making the same mistake again. I love FFXIV and I really hope that there is enough civil outcry over this that you all reconsider things.
Unlike other MMOs you have shown yourselves to be willing to listen to the playerbase, and I hope you do so now as well. Keep setting the example on what an MMORPG should be and unlock those races!

I signed up just to show support. Gender-locked races and stuff in general is so passe at this point. Especially with the lore excuse; it doesn't hold up. Why would you repeat the same mistake you had to fix from 1.0?

Fact of the matter is they didn't tell us that we WOULDN'T get it, and they're usually pretty quick to turn us down if we're not going to get anything. We just need to keep the momentum going, keep our voices loud, be constructive!
Spewing vitriol, threatening, and offending their persons gets us nowhere.

We'll get Male Viera! We'll get Female Hrothgar! I'd rather them take their time and give us the best quality they can since this is utterly new territory. In the sense that FF as a whole hasn't had canonical Male Viera until now. Keep the disappointment, speak it peacefully, but ultimately, keep hope.

I respect the spirit but--it's quite obvious the dev team won't react to this. They very rarely react to anything on the forums.

but seriously gender-locked races are outdated as heck and i'm having flashbacks to the worgen in world of warcraft where the males had this gorgeously detailed model and the females had this hastily slapped-together model that didn't come near the male's in quality, and i feel that way with the viera/hrothgar. viera models are simply gorgeous and the hrothgar look like unpolished roegadyns in CATS makeup that don't even look like they show facial expressions as well as the other races. i'm not opposed to a playable beast race but please just give us cute bunny boys and butch lion gals, lore is a silly excuse when y'all added femroes and catboys in ARR despite ~*~the lore~*~

I had hoped they'd add in male viera though. Since. You know. We wanted them.
