Gender locked race?

Let's not be daft here, you know very well that the outrage would be less if we got two genders of a race we knew we were getting verses not getting a race we never knew about.

Exactly if this had just been male and female Viera most of the attention would be on the fact that "hey Final Fantasy finally showed Male Viera! Isn't that cool?" and would have probably have FF fans outside the XIV fan base talking too!
