Also, I think the people who say 'quests throw gear at you' are short-sighted and missing the point. It's not newbies who go in under-geared. It's the vets who are leveling up a side-job and can't be bothered to keep their gear maintained beyond lvl 50. They know better, but don't care, because there's no consequences to it. So fix that. Vote kick those people out immediately, and replace them with a better player.

Mostly true, but there are some new players that consistently forget to hit the 'recommended gear' button.

So fix that. Vote kick those people out immediately, and replace them with a better player.

OR make it so that such situations are impossible in the first place by adding min ilvl requirements.

or we could just add a minimum ilvl. Fixes so many issues

Then they never learn and get to requeue for a duty again afterwards without any kind of penalty. Plus there is the whole waiting 5mins (or was it 10mins?) issue once a duty has started, can't dismiss during loot rolls, and depending on the role players might not want to spend a long time waiting for a replacement.

I'm pretty sure you can vote kick at any time, and its the 'vote abandon' that has time in instance requirement. Nevertheless, the rest of your points still stand.

vote kick is 5 mins. Vote abandon is 15. (Or 10. Not quite positive on that timer)
