Considering that Elsywer is going to be visited properly for the first time or rather not in horrifically outdated graphics -Elder Scrolls Arena; and it's bad 2004 graphics - why would you put a good portion of your eggs into one basket regarding it? How from a business standpoint does that make sense? A gender locked 'Hrothgar' isn't going to attract that market to such a huge extent when said market can literally be playing a different MMO that has more lore, background and isn't gender locked?

From a business point of view that sounds extremely silly - already people are making jokes about Hrothgar due to the Elder Scrolls 'High Hrothgar' - such facepalming is to be had. Nothing like having a race that reminds you of your competitors 'games' during a battle for more subs.

And folks can't argue that Elder Scrolls doesn't have a presence in Japan, or that they're completely blind to the existence of its competitor in the western market.
I think people who play ESO will continue to play ESO and people who play this will play this. They're not really the same type of MMO at all so I think people who want that actiony type of MMO will go there and vice versa. I honestly don't think the ESO expansion plays into their decision-making at all, and really it was probably established as a lion race way before any of us knew about the ESO Khajiit expansion. I mean we know from the literal game screenshots that Hrothgar are a thing and that they're getting a mane, so I feel like there is very little room to argue against a lion race being what's coming lol.
