Well, that makes more sense then. Just the way you said some stuff came off as dismissive to me. Like you were trying to shut down people just for hoping we'd still get them. But it is easy to misread stuff like that online, so I'm sorry for putting words in your mouth. :v I get that you're just trying to be realistic. Just some people have different perspectives on how fanfest will go down and what the community response to it will be. I don't think anyone can say with certainty how that will turn out yet.
Again, I'm not saying anyone is unreasonable for that reason. I'm responding to justifications people are giving in their posts. People can want genderlocks to stay gone, in an ideal setting I would want both for both races too. I just don't think it's likely considering what we have seen over time, and I've been here awhile. So while I WANT both, I don't EXPECT both.
I'm of the opinion that there is more to the situation than just, "we're getting two genderlocked races." I'm prepared to be completely wrong about that though.
High lander body shape with about same size is au ra is my guess
i really doubt they will make them Roe size
I mean, I'd play kitty buff if they were decent enough - but come on - if we get the Khajiit, I mean High Hrothgar, whatever, then we can't ignore the fact that we've got two bloody genderlocked races. Bad joojoo. Had enough of 'Limited' things in this game.
On the other side, I just had a big old laugh at the idea of 'Dancer' and how we're going to have manly men more than likely using feminine like movements - unless they've really gone out of their way to have dancer be 'neutral' in regards to stances and movements. I can't wait to see Roe's and 'Fus Ro Fur' dance with elegance.
- I can make elder scrolls puns all day, it's better than writing my thesis. Please argue with me so I can procrastinate more, I beg of you.
Ahem; on the plus side - any race that has Omega M or Daddy Byakko body is acceptable for me. I will just have to wear a helmet.
i do remember one of the leaks did say "they are not quiet ronso but are inspired by them"
so if they truly are inspired by them they are big race but they are not Roe size
like Kimahri isn't that much bigger wakka or auron
legit leak or not its still a interesting point
Roe are just more human Galka
hrothgar could just be more human ronso
ALSO odd to me to make a male lion race gender-lock when male lions are a bit more rare compared to female lions
kinda ironic

--shrugs-- something, something reverse mithra
There's awful a lot of ground to cover between roegadyn and "cute bunboys", which is exactly what Yoshi has been resistant to considering in the past.
Thankfully I can fall back on midlanders or au ra if I don't like the male variants of the new race(s) added.
Strictly speaking, there's a number of races which actually do fit that aesthetic. Elezen probably come closest. If the issue is the facial selection, would it not make more sense to simply ask for more facial options?Hyur makes come pretty close and I played one for a while. But being hyurr is frankly boring and again the faces are just not it. I play miqote now because I’ve settled with cute.
But none of these give you beautiful male model style vibes.
This is what I see.
Midlander- average to very handsome young male with a average body type
Highlander -hot muscle dudes who will keep your butt
Roe- big burly bear men.
Aura- beastly dragon men
Miqo- mostly cute but also possible to be very masculine looking .
Eleven- tall nerdy to rude looking men with very sharp jaws
There simply isn’t a race that is designed to be beautiful modelesque creatures for any races.
Now the viera come and the women have beautiful runway model looks.
I want men to have that high fashion male model look. And that simply isn’t available in game
Yes, except he's not talking about beauty, per se.In many fantasy games elves are beautiful and stunning not only in physical looks but in prowess on the battlefield. This is how I imagine the viera. Gorgeous and wise and also dangerous. Beautiful men is very common in Japanese anime and ffxiv. Omega m is stunning but he will kill you. He is also very androgynous but leans toward male.
Omega M is also a robotic construct. I don't even consider him particularly attractive, nor do I consider Seiryu beautiful.
They just lack what is required to captivate me. Ironically, most prominent examples of elves have far more masculine facial features, be it any Warcraft elven race, TES elves, the WH elves, the Aen elle from Witcher, and even a lot of the D&D elf art.
My guess is that our standards of what is beautiful differ by quite a bit. I already consider many of the auri and midlander male faces to be quite beautiful.

and his physical body structure and face style is not available in game.
I'd Love more customization options but they are not doing that.
I'm also kinda of happy that Elezen are the way they are.
Whats more annoying is that people keep asking for MORE MACHO options when they already have 3 to chose from and pretty boys only have midlanders who have kinda weird shaped bodies.
Well prepare to continue to be annoyed, in that event.
As for Omega M, I am aware of what he looks like. I honestly don't find him anything special. You can design midlanders to approximate that, and both them and elezen have a very similar body type. Catboys are also fairly slender and can have "pretty" and "cute" face. Even Elezen can, but that face is just poorly adapted to their bodies.
Seems like it's 3 for 3, but you're just selective in what you're willing to consider as already available.
