I read through this whole mess. Personally, I don't like Viera and their Design at all (it's not that innovative or amazing to me), but since it's a personal opinion, I won't mind those looking forward to Viera getting that which they are hoping for. But some comments in this thread really awaken a spiteful site in me that wants Male Viera, if happening, to be absolute Furry thingies.

But back to the general discussion, I too think that gender-lock should at most be a temporary thing with the other gender added at a later point, but added in any case.

As long as those furry thingies aren't hairy Roe I'll take it. But I don't have any faith in the devs to make something that isn't busted. Think I might have to try out a lady bunny since all the males probably died in that fire(you know they did).

Oh, you can do that, go ahead, but I'm afraid you will find out that I do not care at all and you sacrifice time and energy that could be better spent in any way.

I don't mind male Viera. I don't mind whichever form they may come in if they happen. Really, I'd be happy for you guys anyway - I just don't think that degradint anyone's opinion is helping the case, and that is what makes me full of spite.

In the end, all is based on personal opinion and preference. Some will be happy, some will not. But instead of being at each other's throat, going on whether Viera or Hrothgar is better, let's unite with the agreement of gender-lock being unnecessary. (Not per se directed at you, but this thread in general.)

Because I can tell a lot of people in this thread are not simply kidding with their hateful opinions towards Viera and/or 'Hrothgar'.

Hurhur, my account is old as heck, like beta tester 1.0 old. I just didn't join the forums until recently, I'm sure it was to complain about something or harp about Viera - so both things.
Though totally a correlation, since I'm like 70% sure I joined the forums to rage about my lack of male bunny. Out of everything they've done, this was the thing that made me finally trudge into the forums.

Not related entirely; but why the heck isn't the join date the actual date of when you made your account?

Oh, that clears that up then...I always figured the join date was equal to when an account was first created.

Still, it is bizarre how strongly some people feel about all this. I guess the best we can do is report the more aggressive posts.

well, a lot of people play the game without ever touching the forums. I don't know if you consider me one of the hostile posters (I hope not, I'm opinionated but my intent was never to be hostile to anyone), but I've been playing off and on since ARR. The only reason I joined up here was because I knew such a big discussion was going on about the new race. XD
