Any Chance For An Event for Blue Onion Helm?

I really like the look of the onion helm, and the only one I can realistically get is the red onion helm and that's tank exclusive. There's no one selling EU codes for this item that I can find and I'm fairly sure the codes are expired anyway. I would have thought Eureka would have been a good place to put a drop like this but getting it as an event reward like with the white ravens would be good.

It wasn't an event reward though, I believe it either was a preorder bonus or came with the 1.0 collectors edition.

I don't think the collector's edition 1.0 codes ever expire. I know I was able to get the blue onion helm from a collector's edition I bought a few years ago (just for the novelty of it). The code that came with it actually worked just fine. I managed to find a sealed copy of the CE though, so finding one like that might be harder now.

Since they put the Raven Earring in an event, even though it was fairly challenging to obtain, they could easily include that item, even if it's put on the Mogstation.

Raven Earrings were an in-game rewards. Onion Helm was from purchasing 1.0 collectors, it's not really the same thing and the debate rages on about whether they should have reissued the Raven Earrings which SE since said they wouldn't do again etc.

I doubt they would make it an event prize. Re-release through the Mogstation is much more likely.

It was a pre-order for the 1.0 collectors edition. I have one of these. The perk on it if I recall was it slowed durability loss. I should also have sprint shoes floating around somewhere from linking my playonline back then too.

I have it as well, I just couldn't remember which part of the collectors it was from haha.

I had the sandals at one point, but have lost them as it was tied to keeping your XI sub active, and I couldn't get into that game haha.

I assume SE's backflip with validity of the 1.0 Onion Helm codes (unused Onion Helm codes were initially redeemable upon ARR's launch) is an attempt to try and stop the recent incidence of unopened copies of 1.0 (both the Standard and Collector's Editions) going for enormous prices on online sites like eBay simply for the codes (although the registration codes for the game itself is still redeemable - as even though the 1.0 client itself is now obsolete and completely useless, the 1.0 codes are actually accepted as a code for ARR (and the 1.0 CE registration code actually also is accepted by the SE Account System as a ARR CE too, meaning you get the ARR CE bonus items automatically, even if the 1.0 CE item code no longer works.), not helped by SE encouraging retailers still with old unsold 1.0 client stock to be returned to them for disposal, meaning those copies which 'slipped through the cracks' so to speak would be even more valuable and sought after.

Because item codes included with Collector's Editions or merchandise are never made available through other means, I do not see SE ever bringing the 1.0 special items (Onion Helm, Garlond Goggles, Asuran Armlets, Sprint Shoes) back I'm sorry to say (as far as the Onion Helm went, this is the reason actually SE specifically added the Red Onion Helm and the Peregrine Onion Helm to 1.0 - so that those who did not get the Collector's Edition of 1.0 still could get an Onion Helm... of sorts. And this has continued into ARR as well.
