Gendered flower crowns? Really?

I'd like to support this thread, because I feel for you. Really, I do. But it seems that there are an overwhelming amount of items in the game that favor female characters, whether gendered or not (Alpha healing chest says hello). I personally think the item in question is absolutely hideous (both versions), but it's nice to know that they haven't forgotten about the male characters.

The answer to "girls have more stuff just for them!" is....convince SE to convert more stuff for the male models.....get rid of genderlocked gear entirely....let people wear what they want.....

If a game has a subscription they just shouldn't genderlock stuff to begin with
They also shouldn't make things undyeable tbh. Nobody likes genderlocks or undyeable gear and idk how many times the community has to say that before it sinks in over at Square, but I'm willing to add one more thread to the pile

I like this idea. ^ Also adjust the dye tone on the female version so it's not washed out. We have lighter toned dyes for those tones, we don't need it forced.

I wanted to say I'm disappointed in the item. I agree the male crown a better item, it's just so much more versatile. With the undyeable pink flowers, the item is incredibly limited in what it can be used with. I don't even mind the lack of leaves to be honest, I just wanted to say this item is very pretty and I like it very much, but will probably never use it because of half of it is stuck being pink for female models. Please give female models access to the male crown!

If it helps, in this situation I really think it's a combination of the principle of the thing and people being weirded out/indignant that SE went to the extra trouble to make separate (but unequal) flower crowns. It's a tiny item and it looks like they went the extra mile to make sure male and female players wouldn't get the same glamour opportunities. The fact that flower crowns are hardly the pinnacle of manliness in the first place makes it even weirder and more petty looking on their end.

Personally, I don't mind if male and female characters don't have the exact same glamour or hair options everywhere. I've played games where character customization is a focus but you can't put women in pretty dresses. Bummed me out. But to do less features and worse dye capability for the lady version? Just seems unnecessary.

If someone came in being like #boycottSE over this it would be dumb, but people being :/ seems fair imo.

Yeah, pretty much sums up my feelings on the subject. Personally I will collect the crown and probably never wear it but I still view the change between genders as unnecessary. They went through more trouble for absolutely no reason. They do that a lot though which doesn't help things and the past few events have been fairly lackluster even by SE's standards, at least imo.

Nothing irks me more than when they make accents a non-neutral color... I was so excited for the crown... but I can't even use it cause of the piiiink.

The event is geared towards the feminine, yes, but by that logic the female flower crown should be the better one and it's not
But regardless, it's a flower crown. I understand male and female aesthetics for whole outfits (lord/lady stuff, the idol outfits, moonfire) but this is one accessory item. Why make one gender's noticeably worse than another's? We're all still wearing flowers on our heads
