Gendered flower crowns? Really?

Now this I agree with. I was disappointed with how it dyed. I'm not sure why they chose that. I was actually hoping for smaller flowers overall. Maybe if we sacrifice enough lalas SE will sneak in a quick hotfix so it dyes better.

I think it might have more to do with the symbolism of the crowns. Princess and Senechal. Kind of like how crowns for royalty in real life look different. The king's crown would look different than the queen's. So I think this is more to denote one is for the Princess and the other is the Senechal. But that's just me.

My personal feeling is that they look too similar to be thought of as symbolically different. if they wanted to make a point of that, they should have looked like two actual different sets of flowers, perhaps one with more greenery, and those should both be gender unlocked so that people could pick which one better represents them.

It's serious, because it's seriously stupid. It's just another eyeroll moment because it tells me that even if I don't care about this item (just not my char's style), they're going to keep doing this crap with other items, and probably ones I want.

If it helps, in this situation I really think it's a combination of the principle of the thing and people being weirded out/indignant that SE went to the extra trouble to make separate (but unequal) flower crowns. It's a tiny item and it looks like they went the extra mile to make sure male and female players wouldn't get the same glamour opportunities. The fact that flower crowns are hardly the pinnacle of manliness in the first place makes it even weirder and more petty looking on their end.

Personally, I don't mind if male and female characters don't have the exact same glamour or hair options everywhere. I've played games where character customization is a focus but you can't put women in pretty dresses. Bummed me out. But to do less features and worse dye capability for the lady version? Just seems unnecessary.

If someone came in being like #boycottSE over this it would be dumb, but people being :/ seems fair imo.

Yeah, pretty much sums up my feelings on the subject. Personally I will collect the crown and probably never wear it but I still view the change between genders as unnecessary. They went through more trouble for absolutely no reason. They do that a lot though which doesn't help things and the past few events have been fairly lackluster even by SE's standards, at least imo.

I wanted to say I'm disappointed in the item. I agree the male crown a better item, it's just so much more versatile. With the undyeable pink flowers, the item is incredibly limited in what it can be used with. I don't even mind the lack of leaves to be honest, I just wanted to say this item is very pretty and I like it very much, but will probably never use it because of half of it is stuck being pink for female models. Please give female models access to the male crown!
