What they really need to do is drop the instanced part of Eureka, make it a full zone that has its own set of mechanics when you port to it but you can still queue up for other stuff while in there, that way you don't have to drop every other activity in the game just to do it.

Problem is, this would have been the only way to really send your feedback as forums can't really be used to establish a general playerbase opinion. But every time someone suggested than to a Eureka opponent, it was basically received as "mind your own business".

If those who didn't like it didn't do it, and SE thought the participation was really below expectation, I would have gladly admitted that the content would have been a failure, even If personally really love it. Also, another point is "expectation", and what numbers don't mean much. If they expect 5% for a content (Regardless of the ressources they decided to put in it, since it's their choice) and 10% participates "willingly", then it's a success. If they expect 15% for the same content, it's a failure. And we don't know what percentage of the playerbase they expected to complete Eureka.

Every time you will join/leave a party, you would have to relaunch the Duty Finder, and if people stay solo just because they want to do something else, they'll each individually receive lower rewards from every NM, making the whole process simply taking more time.

Y: I usually compare FFXIV with a theme park, but the Forbidden Land of Eureka won’t be a place where everyone would want to go. For example, there are people who don’t want to go to horror houses because they don’t see the point in getting scared on purpose. For example, on a date, the boyfriend might want to invite the girlfriend to go the horror house, but the girlfriend just doesn’t seem to find it fun. In other words, it’s not like everyone wants to go to the horror house, but there are people who just love the adrenalin rush they get from it. Think of Eureka as something like that.

This was pretty much my experience too. The map design is terrible, everything is so spread out and with higher level mobs killing you in like one to two hits it just makes the experience of even getting to a NM just utterly miserable. After Anemos it really feels like you're always back to square one, you finally unlock your mount in there, only to have it taken away until the later levels of the current map, there's a new level cap, and after Anemos you don't really even unlock the elemental points anymore aside from the 1 in Pyros and the elemental level system in Hydatos. This constant loop of crawling to the top, getting to enjoy it for a minute and when the new zone comes out, you're back to feeling like absolute trash is something I don't enjoy at all, at least within the actual game it's always justified when it's a new expansion and you only have that every 2 years, not every few months. I didn't even get to the light grinding in Pagos and I already hated the idea, at least with the previous light grinds you'd always get some light, now you have to fight RNG to even get any light from killing a mob.

You don't need a party to get gold from a NM if you around the same level. And most people probably play on duo/trio, so even less problems, but you can easily get gold solo. So that wouldn't be an issue. The idea is good.

Your chances of receiving gold drops with the number of people in the instance if you're solo even if you're at the same level as the fate. It's different when you're fighting the NM with 20 people around compared to 143.

Explain me why I get gold when solo'ing then -.-
Because I even got gold when doing Pazu in solo. So there is nothing you can say to defend party group, if you do enough damage and know the mechanics to survive, there is no such thing as "but you need a party qq"

How so ? The fate scale to the number of player... The only fate where it can be true are the lowest level fate who smelt like snow on a frying pan. Otherwise gold medal are easy to get even solo once you are on par with the fate level even if half the Data center is here.

As I said, the number of participants affect your chances of getting gold. The HP of the monster scales up, so with your DPS remaining constant, the % of the damage you do to the boss is reduced. Thus your chances of getting gold goes down easily.

From experience from most MMO's they have areas to get past to grind etc where you have to run past high level mobs and risk getting killed.Same in a lot of MMO dungeons.
Most the community in Eureka is also willing to come and res you so you dont lose xp or will help you get to an area for quest etc.
As for the mobs themselves. They have different agro ways. Some are sound so they agro you if running. You can get by them simply by walking instead of running. Some also only agro you if your hp drops to a certain threshold. As for the rest of them its easy enough to manouvre around their field of visions once you get used to it.
But if you didnt learn that in anemos you are likely not to learn it in the other Eureka zones.
Also as for agroing mobs during fates.Well this is no diferent than the rules you should have learned by now in dungeons on your way to lvl 70 so if you arent watching for mobs during fates you really have no excuse.

It doesnt matter if people have finished the relic weapons. The fact you have that many players useing the content at the moment is obvious that the content is successful.
The fact that there was so many players useing Eureka instances that it took down duty finder for several days in EU is further proof of that.
As I said you cant say if something is a success just because x amounts of instances are there. Again it takes people from the whole DC. That could be, depending on the DC, up to 90k active players. There are also people on this forum that posted that they had barely active instances too. So no I dont see that as a way to tell any way. What matters is that people liked the content and if enough players have done it to warrant its budget and time spent on this.

We have no clear numbers on any of those because SE never asked for our opinion in the game about this. (No surveys) What we do have is the lucky bancho numbers which paints a bad picture for that content. <10% of the NA playerbase (the biggest one of the whole bunch) have reached level cap in Pyros. That means that over 90% of the NA players dont care to get to the end of the content when its recent content, in a time where there is not much other content left. If that counts as a success for SE then they have quite the low bar..and they are ready to put that much behind content that most dont play...and on top of that we have no real numbers on how many of those <10% NA players on level cap even enjoyed it. I would be part of those that count for Anemos..yet I did not enjoy my time in this and only done it to get the mount. Who knows how many of those really liked it at all. Taking in account that the forum can show a bit of a direction then quite a bit of those will probably not have enjoyed it, seeing how negative that content was received..heck even Pagos changed the opinion of some players that loved Anemos.

Again if SE counts all of that as a success then anything will count as a success...
