K. Glad we got that sorted out.In some previous post, I called us "Grinders". The problem I see with "hardcore casuals" is that they're far closer to "hardcore dedication" than "casual dedication".
There are different types of hardcore play. It doesn't really feel appropriate to call the PvP season winner a "casual" if he simply doesn't raid.
And how does it not count as hardcore dedication if they play more than some actually hardcore players who do savage and ex primals and all that? Obviously a hardcore PvPer wouldn't be called a casual, he'd be called a hardcore PvPer, I think that distinction is allowed since one is hardcore in PvE content and the other in PvP, I wouldn't call either any less hardcore. In some previous post, I called us "Grinders". You can call them grinders or whatever you want but in general the vast majority of the playerbase is considered casual and I can assure you most of them aren't only people who play 2 hours a week like you seem to suggest as the only definition for a casual player besides not doing harder content.

Its almost as though Hardcore content vs. Casual content is a misnomer created by the community. Hardcore players exist, as do casual players, but content is not created for them. Content is created with a spectrum in mind. Hardcore raiders do the hardest raids, casual players do the NM and 24 man raids, hardcore PVPers do ranked feast, casual PVPers do frontlines, Hardcore Eurekans do BA and min max their gear, casual Eurekans fate grind and get their weapon at their own pace.
It counts as hardcore dedication, that's the point. And the reason why the relic being for people "who don't raid" doesn't mean it was a weapon "for casuals".
And the vast majority of the playerbase still don't have any relic weapon past or present. You can call them grinders or whatever you want but in general the vast majority of the playerbase is considered casual and I can assure you most of them aren't only people who play 2 hours a week like you seem to suggest as the only definition for a casual player besides not doing harder content.
I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree. I'd say plenty of casual players have gotten a relic, even the most casual can easily finish an anima or two with very little daily play as long as they keep playing the game. I don't have any numbers on how many people have done any sort of relic but I'd imagine the majority at least attempt to make one.
Anyway, this hardly has anything to do with the topic at hand anymore, best let the Eureka discussion resume.
You’re forgetting that every relics participation rates are low and that this relic is on par with how most relics go in terms of participation. on top of that this relic is at a disadvantage for just finishing and anima being out 2 years and relic 4. We have 1 more story patch and then a huge gap of nothing after. In my opinion this was the most interesting relic to do out of the 3 and due to eurekas nature of wanting you to take breaks and come back when you feel like it, plus BA is a thing now. I feel like this will end up being the most successful relic when this expansion is at its end.
And everything is and will be speculation until there is a way to know for the numbers for real, but I guess Eureka nerfed into oblivion is more appealing than HW. Too bad the only relics worth doing are DRK, WAR and BLM.You’re forgetting that every relics participation rates are low and that this relic is on par with how most relics go in terms of participation. on top of that this relic is at a disadvantage for just finishing and anima being out 2 years and relic 4. Funny you state everything will be speculation when you've already tried to state your own oppinion as fact several times.
Because it is from the numbers we have, the participation % =/= relics done. You won't be able to know who does Eureka for hairstyles/emotes/minions/mounts/furniture or for relic until there is a way to see how many players who participated in Eureka has obtained a relic.
So you claiming it was only 144 players doing Eureka was from official numbers?Right....Because it is from the numbers we have, the participation % =/= relics done.
