Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
this game needs more gear options not less. it would also give us reason to do more content.
EX primals hasn't been the same since Garuda/Titan/Ifrit EX dropped alternate max iLv accessories. that was better for the game.
but does it really? each job has 2-3 main sub stats to drive their role, i would think any more gear options would just start cluttering everyone's inventory and make certain pieces outdated at a faster rate then they currently are.
This is very much an intentional design choice on SE's part. Much like how you can't get the best weapon without doing Savage or Relic, you can't have the best rings without doing Savage.
You can see from Crafting/Gathering gear that they are willing to remove the Unique status on endgame rings when it makes sense to do so.
If they don't care about tome gear then how would having 2 tome rings in the game affect them?
I saw Rings in the title and instantly wanted to see a spindash in the post. :c
So it wouldn't bother you if SE made the change and allowed people to buy two of the same tome ring, or if it did that's just something in your mind and it doesn't really matter if it bothers you or not.
