And why should someone be forced into Savage for a ring anymore than people being forced into Eureka for their Relic weapon?
I couldn't tell you why it bothers me. Just does. Just one of those things like when you meet someone and instantly dislike them. Call it OCD or w/e you want.If you're not doing any content that warrants getting better gear... why does it bother you SO much to have an unupgraded ring? Do you really think you need to be in top shape to do dungeons? or hunts? or 24-mans? All of that content is a joke and can be perfectly done with gear from the previous tier. And what about all the content they keep adding that has ilvl syncs or stats independant of gear like the deep dungeons, Eureka or pvp?
The only "issue" is in your mind. And if a ring bothers you that much I don't know why having other pieces of gear with high ilvl but the wrong stats doesn't bother you nearly as much.
Naoki Yoshida:

There are. The i90 waists and the i200 waists, both former tomestone gear, are not unique anymore. This is because they are part of the AF set rewarded by job quest and the unique status prevented some people to open the chest they were in.
I think the best option would be a dunscaith equivalent. People already get upgrade items in the 24 man so no reason not to give access to another 400 ring. Or as someone mentioned put rings in some ex primals like they have done in the past. I don't see any reason to keep the only second max ilvl ring in savage during catch up patches. Do people actually need it if they are not doing hard content? No, but to be fair they don't need tome upgrade items period in that case, but they still put them in the 24 mans.
I would just want to see a second ring section in the armory inventory.
Savage isn't for everyone lol. But I don't see any reason for not adding a max ilvl ring with each alliance raid like Proto Ultima. Same way that casual players can get max ilvl tome gear from upgrades that are initially savage drops only.
You don't have to be in tip-top shape to do savage either. You only need to be at the ilv requirement to go in there, so what exactly is your point? Whatever reasoning you can place behind wanting the higher ilv for savage can be applied to the rest of the content in the game as well. If all comes down to having an easier time getting a clear; well why on earth wouldn't you want that in all the other content as well? That's not to mention wanting the BiS gear so we are 'sharpened' in a sense for the upcoming expansion. If you're not doing any content that warrants getting better gear... why does it bother you SO much to have an unupgraded ring? A lot of us have acknowledged that the problem is in our heads. You're not exactly enlightening anyone, especially those with the issue. We know that those 10 ilvs hardly even make a difference. Whether it's an ocd thing or whatever, it's just bothersome. Think of it like a stain that no one notices but you, I guess.
We don't need to have two ring slots in the first place tbh. It's an arbitrary number considering there are 10 fingers. Why not make the ring appear on both hands or one hand depending on the design, just like the other accessories?
