Though, more seriously, we have endless supplies of arrows and we have a literal machine that generates bullets from surrounding aether.
Reloading is the least of our worries.
The bigger issue for dual wielding guns is the fact that you can't aim with them. You can only look down the sight of a single gun at a time and otherwise you're effectively hip-firing (Whilst being more affected by recoil because you're only supporting the gun with one hand each)

You think Machinists are aiming when going through their heated shot animations? The bigger issue for dual wielding guns is the fact that you can't aim with them. Arrows are still pulled from the quiver if you watch the animations. We assume characters carry the right amount of arrows on their way to any given duty. Remember, when you enter a Trial, you "teleport" there instantly, but keep in mind that from a lore perspective, every time you do a dungeon, your character is manually traveling to the location off-screen. So it's assumed they scavenged for parts to fashion arrows along the way. Also, to avoid the burden of ammunition, they removed it after 1.0, s as to not befall the same trepidations as Ranger from FFXI (which had limited ammo and had to restock -- which was expensive). Lancer had throwing Javelins, Gladiator had Throwing Daggers, and Marauder had Tomahawks. All were ammunition that took up a slot and had to be replaced/replenished.
Some out of the Box thinking here... But if anyone else plays League, Throwing blades like Draven, or Boomerangs, or an Assassin with concealed Crossbow on their arm and throwing knives, or a Hybrid, like how they did Red mage, a normal ranged, who can dash in for a quick combo then go back out to do normal damage again.
How about throwing bombs? They're ranged but not magical...
They make specialized magazines and holsters and such that can accommodate that. Also this is an MMO set in a swords n sorcery universe, entirely possible the guns can be reloaded with mana or something.
On topic, I think crossbow or dual pistols would be a really good fit, after all there have been many gunner jobs in FF games. Honestly I think something like a beastmaster using a crossbow would be a good idea.

Vote is still for this unique job mechanic.I'd rather have a Chakram/Boomerang ranged physical job, with a unique combo system for rebounding/retrieving the thrown weapon.
Could have some different AoE patterns too, like a 'donut' shaped AoE attack, which you'd use after a knockback skill, or just when you're at the right range in party content.
I can't imagine any gun related job would be all that different to MCH. It'll still have ammo in some capacity, amd we're already getting Gunbreaker. How many ammo jobs do we need?

Ehh... I can't see how every "Gun" job would necessarily need ammo as a mechanic.
Heck, we don't even know if Gunbreaker is actually going to have "Ammo" as a mechanic. The only evidence we have for this is that in the ShB trailer, Thancred reloads his sword. But this means little, unless we take everything from the ShB trailer as accurate gameplay, which by the scene where the WoL is fighting Kuribu means that next expac will let us swap jobs on the fly in combat!
Since, if you just go by the fact that "Guns shoot bullets therefore magical ammo" then the same could be said about literally every projectile weapon. Which are defined by sending objects (Which could be magically enhanced) through the air.
To say nothing of the fact that Gunbreaker doesn't have an aetherotransformer which is used to power MCH's special ammo and gadgets. (Since, if I recall correctly, aether is automatically turned into bullets that we shoot and we merely "Reload" enhanced bullets)
