My selfish request: Remove GC restrictions when it comes to it's glams only

I just want to be able to wear any of the glam at any given time. It's not the fee I mind to pay to transfer to another GC, it's the time frame. Also, I'd just like to apply some of these glams all at once but again, the restriction between the sets won't let me.

Maybe in the future that Yoshi talked about doing things differently with GCs, this could be one of those.

Yes please. I actually considered temporary GC jump because I like designs of Adders' fending set and axe(we really need more bardiches in the game), but then realized I wouldn't be able to wear it anyways after going back to Maelstrom.
Alternatively we could perhaps get some new glam items with same models, without the GC emblems, but dyeable instead. That would not only avoid the "lore issue" but also allow more options.

There are very, very few choices we get to make that have any impact on us at all in this game. We can't customize our gameplay at all because there is no system like a talent tree or merit points, stats are so boring we mostly ignore them which means our choice of equipment doesn't matter, our choice of race and subrace mean nothing, our deity of choice means nothing, our date of birth means nothing...but Grand Companies mean something. Even though its a small something, glamours and some leveling gear.

I would prefer that one of the few choices we get to make that has any impact at all on our gameplay stay in place.

I recently swapped GCs for the achievements while on my way to my forever home in the Maelstrom and let me tell you - while glamour is the true endgame, that's where the difference between GCs begins and ends, other than more or less comfort in going tot he GC's headquarters (Maelstrom why you so out of the way).
The only gameplay thing that might've changed was your squad, but as that's carried over (otherwise no one would've either swapped GCs because to hell with leveling that again, or never bothered with squads because to hell with leveling that again) there really is absolutely zero impact on gameplay.

When you switched, you don't lose a single thing. Your progress with our abandoned GC remains, you keep all your seals, your position and rank will be there waiting for you - in many ways you're still a part of it.
And then they can always pull WoL shenanigans because it's not like it really matters in that sort of all out war what GC you belong to - you'll fight with the Scions and fighters from all city states, your alligence is irrelevant. And no GC would completely get their claws off of you, being the WoL. They'll suck their pride and keep you half in because the chance of you coming back, or even just giving people the impression you're still associated, is too great a boon for them to pass up on.

tl;dr I get what you're saying, but there're so many lore ways to get around that in the context of your character they might as well just do away with it. Granted, assuming you've ever earned it, I'm a Captain for both IF and TA, but I want to need to earn my Maelstrom colors before I can wear them.

Despite all the "glamour is true endgame" jokes flying around, ultimately glam does not actually affect gameplay. You say race is meaningless, but some glam gear that you can change anytime somehow matters? The gameplay choice that Grand Companies were meant to be - and still are - is the side you will fight for during Frontlines. Yes you can que up as a freelancer, but that is also a choice.

Not to mention the idea I presented, makes the models available without any impact on the GC equipment.

No, my bad, belonging to a specific GC matters gameplay wise.
It effectively tripled the amount of achievements you can get, and the grind you have to do to earn them.

Knowing you can go from one GC to another whenever you want and have all of them at max rank, the glamour lock is a nonsense. Would be nice if we could be able to wear any gear and use any weapon as long as you are max rank on all.
