No exceptions and they all swear an oath not to let any evil encroach on that territory. We also know from the last Fan Fest that we are heading into Ra'Tika Greatwood, which the developers all but confirmed was Viera territory. And we know from the trailers, not just the main one but the location trailers as well, the Scions are present when one of the Greatwood villages gets the crap kicked out of it; probably by the Imperial Garlean Army units gunning for us. You want to talk lore? It would be lore-breaking in the extreme not to run into any hostile male Viera NPCs if we are responsible for bringing Garlean troops into their homeland and said troops targeting a Viera village.

We don't know what the Rak'tika Greatwood is in relation to the Viera as a race. The current lore only mentions Golmore. It could be a fringe settlement of Viera completely unconnected to those of Golmore.

Shame there are no images of the race or at least I haven't seen them. And that appears it's going to be a surprise for many of us. Seems most of everything else was spoiled in advance anyway although it didn't lessen my excitement when i learned of our new race/s. I was personally disappointed we didn't' get a new race for Heavensward and can't wait for the benchmark to play with the new ones.

My point was that they could be inherently linked. We don't know enough about them to rule out the possibility that Hrothgar could effectively be our male Viera counterparts.

Also, he says no non-Viera has spotted a male Viera and lived to tell the tale; which is a bit different in context.

Or the fact that all the NPC's basically treat any Xaela PC as a non-entity in the Steppes. I remember being pretty disappointed that my character's race at the time basically mattered not one iota back then, but it's pretty par for the course with this game.

It matter's a lot more in the French localization. That's how we even found out about hrothgar. I kinda want to go play a scary fem Hrothgar in French just to get NPCs reactions. Buuut I don't speak French.

You can easily explain away mass male Viera / Miqote lore wise by just saying, "oh look, a calamity has cause a disturbance in the aether which is causing more and more male mi'qote and viera to be born... easy...

This is like saying you can't talk about brexit in the EU thread, or about the EU in the brexit thread. (Im not bringing politics into this, its an example)

Until we know more about them, we cant say they're not related.
Maybe dont make a thread with such a narrow topic of discussion when dealing with such vague subject matter. Or all you'll be doing is shutting down discussion constantly, like this.

We're at the very beginning of theory crafting and guesswork at this stage, and some theories are inevitably going to feature overlap.
