Nah, that's just a different point entirely. And one I agree with. Not really sure what their process was on that decision. Shoulda at least had it running through the weekend following the day.

But the greater fact remains that the timing has been known for a long while now, and I choose not to dredge up much sympathy for anyone that thought waiting until the last minute was a good idea. But I'm a heartless bastard.

I mean, sure, it sucks that extra maintenance will be cutting into the event, but things like that are exactly why you don't put something off, eh? If they never make concessions for anything else that gets interrupted by emergency maintenance, I wouldn't hold my breath to see an exception here.
