    I agree that it sucks to have Event plans ruined like that, and extending it would surely be a great move of SE - but you have to take the bigger picture into account as well. Those bugs were unfortunate to happen at this time.
    I probably should have said "timed" rather than "scheduled" since it was emergency maint (although presumably they could have shifted it by a few hours.)
    However, instances being broken also messed with the event, so it would have been frustrating to not be able to finish it because of that too.

    Yeah - as you note, extending the event after fixing the bugs and server issues was exactly the right thing to do - I'm really glad they did so!!

    Thanks OP for creating this thread, and thanks SE for fixing the issues and extending the event so people could finish it!
