It sounds like you have played the game enough for several people. Sorry but I don't think any mmo's patch content could satisfy someone who would need an expansion's worth of content to be entertained for a long period of time. You're among a severe minority of people. Most people do not play to this degree.

Best advice I can give is try to find another game that does fill those needs until next expansion you can take breaks, but you'll find out after awhile you'll be taking allot of those with this mmo light burnt out sets in easily. It's easily catch up freindly for gear so not going to miss much or purchase gear for instance 5.0 starter city vendor.

Take a break until the next expansion. If you don't have a house unsub and play other games or do other activities. Yoshi P himself has even said he thinks people should play other games or take a break from the game if they find themselves like this.

Stormblood's odd number patches have been the worse so far in the game. With 4.1 having Eureka being Delayed, meaning the only meaningful content for that patch was Rabanastre. Then every other odd patch was just meh. Only 1 new dungeon, a 24 man that has interesting mechanics, but wears off after the first few runs, and Eureka, which most people do not like. The only good thing that came from this, is I actually got to play different games, which was nice but not because I needed a break, but because this game has nothing else to offer currently.

If they are going for Diadem 4/Eureka 2 again like they said, they really need to get it right this time. Most of their experimental content has just been completely DOA, and Eureka would be the same if relic wasn't attached to it.

Why does everyone say gear gets replaced after 3-4 months when we only get new gear tiers every 8 months?!

Filler stuffs get replaced quicker, but my savage weapon or a savage body armor or some ilvl 400 accesoires will have been equipped for about 8-9 months in July when expansions comes out.

Because not everyone progresses through content at the same rate, nor does everyone consume every kind of content. For someone who doesn't do savage, they're now looking at replacing gear with stuff from the monastery and replacing tomestone gear with upgraded tomestone gear. Add to that the best weapon currently available for someone in that position is the relic weapon. You can't upgrade the tomestone weapon even right now without running Omega savage, meaning that weapon you get in Eureka, even if you finish it this week, will only be a decent weapon until shortly after the expansion launches, or about 4 months.

Thats why the raids should not have tome upgrades, to use them at the uneven patch with smt slightly less capped... I do understand why were gettin those catch up patches but like, i dont even need one gear from Orbonne for any job as i can use aug. crafted or smt else, or just stick to 380...

If you dont get savage gear on like release and wanna gear up more then one job its... frustrating.

Currently using Eureka/MB weapons on my chars because I don't wanna do raids just to upgrade tome weapons. Kinda dumb they locking it behind raids like that. EX primal weapons are an option but I'm waiting for the nerf or 80 cap so it's much easier to farm trying for mount.

Why is that dumb though? If you dont raid, if you dont even do EX-primals, you're totally fine with a ilvl390 weapon - you'd probably be fine with a weapon of a much lower ilvl!

...and as I explained earlier I always found it quite difficult to understand why people just want the ilvl for the ilvl itself - I guess its some sort of valid goal, but I was always under the impression that those weapons are tied to the raids to help those who raid to clear the fights... because at the end of the day weapons (and gear in general) are tools to help you achieve your goals, not really the goal itself (or at least thats my humble opinion on the matter - which is why I never understood people who have no intrest in trying the more challenging content complain about not having straight away access to the best gear)
