Pretty classy move by Square!
I know I'm going to get labeled a "hater" here, but tbh most of it is probably empty PR. Looking at the jobs listed here, basically none of these positions are applicable to the skillsets of the people Blizzard fired, who were mostly GMs/CMs/marketing/esports-related. Even LinkedIn doesn't have a ton of offerings relative to the positions Blizz canned; it's all stuff like senior artists and Japanese bi-lingual devs.
I have no doubt some of the Blizzard employees might be able to find a new position with Square, but not many and for the most part this is just low-hanging fruit PR-wise for SE.
There are several English speaking non-development jobs posted... in Europe however. Do you really expect SE to have 800 non-development jobs open?I know I'm going to get labeled a "hater" here, but tbh most of it is probably empty PR. I followed the tweet link... hmmm....

Looks like most of their job openings in El Segundo are marketing.
Ion used to be a lawyer and is now a Game Director. I'm not sure what the average CM's educational background is, but they probably have varying educations and a shared eagerness to get their foot in the door of a good gaming company and sometimes take lower positions to work in and up.I know I'm going to get labeled a "hater" here, but tbh most of it is probably empty PR.
