im glad you enjoy ff14. i love the game but two things that bother me. the combat and bad textures. bosses are fine bu normal enemies is a snooze fest. they need to in 5.0 make it more interactive like dodging, reversals behind the opportunity, knocking enemies. in the air or something then running in a circle

besides that, its a fantastic game ran by a passionate team! just remember to check out other non mmos and life in general as well and take breaks.

Indeed... Blizzard laying off around eight percent of their global staff was quite unwise especially after they touted 2018 as a great year for them.

I somewhat agree with the idea that normal enemies (trash mobs, starter groups/packs, whatever you want to call them) have no novelty with them other than the cookie-cutter design. "Oh, this one is a LNC type, here comes Heartstopper!" But I totally disagree with making them more manipulative. I think the last thing we need is a zany group pack you pull and they're all over the place. Imagine your caster DPS having to move around so much because they have to dodge this and that.

If anything, the game should follow a similar AI design such as FFXI had where the enemy group packs have a semi-party styled synergy. I think that is the spice of change we can all really appreciate to liven up the game more. Imagine being a caster DPS and getting stunned because the enemy group pack recognized your role's necessities.

The next step would be to start recognizing the enemy name types who YOUR group now needs to CC and manipulate. You also start re-employing a kill/priority order.
