In other news, Vermillion Cloak confirmed, adding some credibility to the latter discord leaks (emphasize "some", not much, since it was an easy item to guess given a minion already had it.)

Credibility? There's NPCs in every city in FFXI who wear this cloak and the many variations of it. You don't have to be a leaker to predict this one at all. If this leaker was so in the know, why no news about Ozma being a mount? News like this would have made people way more excited than the few bits they did leak. Everyone loves Ozma. Surely they would have realized this.

Comparing Gridania's forest to the Greatwood is a bit of a stretch, seeing how it looks more like a jungle than anything else we've seen in the game so far. The same can be said about Thanalan and this new abandoned desert ruin. There are sand dunes only in a small part of Thanalan, not massive stretches of them. It would be really nice if they could do that for this new area to distinguish it more, along with the crystal wave. These areas remind me of Mobius FF, but seeing as how I don't play that broken loot box mess of a game, its nice that some similar environment designs are being put into a game that's actually worth playing.

You make some interesting points here, but again going solely based off trailers has led us all astray before like when people thought we were getting dancer after seeing Lyse. I like how in depth this is though, and it might mean that lions might be an important symbol/future beastman/playable race in the future. Each expansion has had a specific animal tied to it, like the dragons in Heavensward and the griffins in Stormblood. I still think it would be best for such a race to be released with both genders, and in an area that makes sense. They should have a habitat suited to their bodies, but what that could be I have no idea. It would be nice if in the far future we got areas based of off FFX, where that race might fit in better than in the ones shown off so far.
