This patch is waste time 1.20

SE needs to face the fact that most of their current and potential customers are not OCD and have lots of alternatives when it comes to having fun.

Who are they? lol. I think most of their customers at this point are addicts.

1: Correct, and once I start paying my expectations in 1.21 will be higher then ever. If I don't like it, or it isn't enough 'fun' to justify my cost of paying, i'll cancel my subscription until it is.

2: Correct again. Why play a game if it's not fun? For me, FFXIV is fun because i have friends that make it that way. There is enough things to keep us loling for the moment. IF you are not having fun, then by all means, do NOT pay for this. And instead, play another game that is fun. At least until they make it worth justifying the cost for you.

Yeah, SE has been working real hard these past months to drive everyone who isn't a complete fanboy away, the funny thing is all the fanboys combined won't make this game profitable.

even when it comes to little things like allowing people to swap servers or asking to merge the VERY empty ones, those fanboys act like you just insulted their mothers....its kind of sad.

No I'm not saying that. They could have made it better and more enjoyable for sure. Although I did enjoy the initial puzzle of figuring the stuffs out, I would have liked fun aggroing mobs in that zone. So you would have NMs and mobs to fight through with the new fighting stuff.

I believe that anyone whom takes the time to post on a game-specific forum is a fan of some sort. And I'm not giving SE any cookies. My expectations for 1.21 are very high. Not to mention the start of billing, but all of the patches and changes so far lead into this one. This recent one didn't have much in the way of content and things to do, but the entire way you play is changed. I have a LOT of beefs for this game, like why cant i sell my junk in bulk? Not one item at a time?

My point originally was that I don't think 1.2o was a waste of time. UNLESS 1.21 does suck. If it does, then no one has to pay for it. I think that the game-play, structure, and UI changes of the previous patches are leading/pointing to the jobs and content in 1.21.

There still isn't much to do besides time-sink Moogie in this one, BUT a lot of the game changed for the better. When i logged on after more then a year of playing after this recent patch, it has felt like a totally new game for me.

The patch IS a waste of time. This is what SE/Yoshi has been doing with each patch: they tone down the pace of battle, crafting and gathering.

First it was MP regen then low Dmg outuput and tougher mobs and now even LESS dmg output, slow TP generation, 3k TP skill requirement AND loooong CD.

I understand the time sink concept and how it relate to a financial model; but seriously, this is getting more boring by each patch.

My other beef is with skill removal! Are they really removing skills, useful skills I might add, just to be given to advance jobs? So they want people to look forward on using new jobs that uses OLD skills just because they are useful? Then what would become of the existing classes?

And can someone please tell me whats the point of inferno totems and charms if they are STILL RANDOM DROPS?! and you still cant pass drops to your team even if you have the same weapons?

I am really disappointing with the direction the game is going and if population is any indicator, I assume many share the same feeling.

The problem is: how many new players had come in FFXIV in the last 3 months? huh?!?! hmmmm...
95% of every server reached rank (ooops level) 50 before patch 1.18, and except for "animation lock", there's never been endgame content. Seriously: this game is so empty and we're gonna pay for it! I'll pay because 2.0 seems gorgeous, but what are we gonna do in the meantime? Nothing challenging! And the fact that the so called "endgame" can be done with Christmas outfit or NAKED, it's ridicolous talking about everything in this game (equip, stats, tactics, contents...).

I only recently got my chocobo and haven't done ANY GC quests.

I had a 6 month break from 14 and got back @ 1.19.
I love this game and I have SO MUCH to do.

I think, everyone who is not happy with the content etc. should take a 6 month break and come back to find out there is LOADS to do. Go buy another game or something and just give 14 some time.
It's a fact that it's impossible for SE to provide enough content to satisfy everyone who has had their lvl 50 jobs for almost a year.
The game is going through a major change and it's not even close to finished. Get used to it that there is not going to be much for you to do because you were in such a rush to lvl all your jobs to 50 to reach "end game" which you knew wasn't there!

This is basically what happened to me, as well. I think I came back on 1.18, and I was still amazed. 1.20? Mind blown. I'm close to finishing my 3rd Lv.50 class and I still haven't beaten every NM out there. People need to cool their jets.

I take back what I said before, I didn't know you had to redo the quest everytime. That's aweful, here are 2 options that would make this better.

1. Make getting the items from the NM's a 1 time thing.
Or
2. Erase the Trees.

Ill pick option 2.
