Personally I thought it was fun and was glad to have something a little more challenging and time consuming than how easy it was to get tapers, which you could easily solo and get the key items for Ifrit. It is very local like someone else said especially once you get that Aetherial gate that is just right there. Also it will make the content last a little longer even though I bet that guy who about cried because they beat Ifrit so quick is probably about to commit seppuku (just kidding) because someone beat Moogle the first night.

What exactly is wrong with being able to get access to the fight solo but actually complete it with a group?

I think the whole intention of the mog is a heavy time investment to try plug the content whole as they work on more substantial content patches, but I cant see a lot of content coming till 2.0+ really..
They are rebuilding a game, most of what they are doing isn't going to give us much to do..

Simple solutions are:
- Stop playing till 2.0.
- Keep playing and accept a low level of new content as this is a Beta/Rebuild.
(and post constructive things not childish rants on the forums)
- Play 1 month each Patch to see the story/exclusive content. (or each patch you like the look of) << my option I think
- Play a different mmo an come back in a year or so.

If anything you should take from XI is the ITEMS. we have nothing to obsess over in this game. No worth while items worth going for that we want EVERYONE to get like in FFXI.

People have been saying ifrit was too farmable and they don't like farming items, drops should be rare etc. They add this in and everyone complains, I like it and thought it was a fun inventive time sink.

How the shit is the killing of NMs a time-sink? It takes about as much time as the wait time to get them done.

At this point Squeenix could deliver gold on a platter and people would complain the platter is awkward looking! I agree with what your saying. But apparently people just want to sit around for 15 min and pick their nose.

i don't know if you are joking, but games are all about entertainment and fun, not wasting time.

moogle fight is funny and entertaining, moogle quest is stupid and not worth repeating (or doing maybe).

most of us, in my ls, have done this quest and we all think it's stupid and are not going to repeat it. that's a feedback from like 20/20 players, it doesn't matter if you agree with it or not.
