Gunbreaker weapon size is pathetic

I wouldn't be surprised if Gunbreaker doesn't get a weapon based on any of the ARR sets (Coil, crafted Primal glamours, etc) considering they start at level 60, which'll be a shame. I hope these can still be included even if they are literally only for glamour.

I remember way back when the Stormblood jobs were revealed, he said something along the line of 'every new jobs will get primal weapons, but for raid weapons, they will only get those that were in previous expansion'.

So far this holds true (DRK,MCH, and AST got every primal weapons, and all coils weapons. SAM and RDM got all primal weapons, and all Alexander raids weapons. Dreadwrym weapons, which weren't implemented at launch, was an exception because they had to make Ultimate coil version anyway)

Though whether it stays true into 5.0 or not remains to be seen.

It's probably meant to be used in one hand for quick slashes, as opposed to Squall who uses it with 2 hands.

While this is true for FF8, in Dissidia squall used his gunblade with only 1 hand.

It clearly shows the weapon is not the size it is supposed to be.

It's also a different gunblade than the one Squall is using.

The one he is using is one of the digital bonuses that comes with the Collector's Edition versions, and as far as I know we've not yet seen a character in FFXIV with that equipped. Maybe try waiting to see if the actual Squall gunblade is appropriately sized before bemoaning a non-issue like this?

On the off chance this isn't a troll thread.
Look at Ninja's weapons. Like any other weapon, they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. There's some really tiny daggers there and some that aren't daggers at all. Some at a size you might expect to see on a Paladin. Hell before Ninja came out, Paladins had daggers available to them.



The minor size difference might have something to do with that not being Revolver, the gunblade that's iconic for Squall, which we will get as a Collector's Edition reward anyway, so people who want to fangasm over Squall by all means can (we have the outfit too). But not even Squall's gun blades are all the same size.

While i don't approve of us getting another sword user... and i dislike guns the only expection being Vincent in ff7 shapeshifter.

However bigger is always better... and size does matter
