Viera Race "Confirmed" for 5.0! Are you gonna change races?

Oi, get the silly idea of male Viera outta yer head. Please SE, no more disgusting ideas like female Roes, lalafails or male Miqotes.. Male Vieras would be gigantic error imo.

Anyway regardless of what SE implements, I'll stay a kitten cuz kittens (female miqo'tes) are master race.

So..... you realize that every species needs both male and female counterparts to exist, yes? So obviously male viera must exist or the species would die out. Also male viera are explicitly mentioned in the lore of this game. Beyond that, though, there's more to gain by adding both sexes than by making them locked. They did away with races being only one sex at the launch of 2.0 because having all the races playable as both male and female means more players are happy.

Asexual reproduction is found in nearly half of the animal phyla.

Sure, I'll give you that several simple species reproduce asexually. But the vast majority of complex organisms (which the humanoid viera would be) reproduce through sexually dimorphic pairs. And on the topic of viera specifically, as I said, the lore of the game already states point blank that male viera exist.

I think that was a mistranslation or something. I vaguely recall an interview where it was mentioned and that the asexual thing is only in English manuals.

Age, mental maturity, and life experience matter far more than physical appearance IMO. If a potato person can be treated like an adult, there is no reason a smaller human sized race can't be.

tbh I think the reason potatoes can pass as "adults" are because they don't have the proportions of children or even regular humans, they're chibis.
