23:39 439 Karnak
That is out of the JP Thread about Population from Yesterday to Today.
nice that was during the 4 hours i had to nap. i knew i missed the jp prime and that's why i said i took stats at almost every hour and not every hour. my afk char was counted in that 439 too cause i had fell asleep at the keyboard trying to get a good list of each hour lol.

Well yeah... like you also said in the other Thread and like i also mentioned about PS3 and Stuff. Im not saying that merging doesnt make Sense or something, but i think SE is actually waiting for the Numbers after subscription happend. Or they are actually waiting till v2, since we will have new Servers anyways. We dont really know how they pay the Server.. to save Money i would assume they do it on a Yearly Charge, but i dont know that really. If something like that is the case i could understand why they are not merging it yet. A lot of different posiblities there, which we have not a Clue about, but im pretty sure SE has Plans for this.
well i was looking that even if they don't save on the server itself due to however they are contracted they would be saving on the upkeep on it. they would not need the extra dev time(which costs), gm time(which costs), and lost members due to dead servers(which will cost subscriptions from people that would pay otherwise).xD lol nice one.

most of the people that i have spoken to about after the payment takes hold have stated only 2 reasons for why they aren't going to pay. from the people that stated they were leaving the reasons were either 1. the server is dead and they have nobody to play with or 2. they don't feel the game is ready to pay for and they will come back later.
they may not be able to resolve issue 2 right now, but at least they could remedy option 1 and that would keep a few more people in game. i'm not saying it would magically make everyone stay and pay, but it would get rid of one of the major reasons some have stated they would be leaving.
i just looked at the making the game more fun for the small servers by giving them more people to party up with and make new friends, saved cash they had to spend on upkeep and paying their staff, and making more off subscriptions then it wouldn't bother the big servers and make them more money in the long run. that's even if they still had to pay for that server even though it wouldn't be used because they would just have a blank server with no upkeep costs.

Thank you Captain Obvious. I don't know what I'd do without you.nope that's not what it means. rush hour means that is the most active time for people to be driving. i never says all people are there, but that you will not find a time in which more are there. that is why it is called "peak". i checked almost every hour for the last 24 for the peak time.
the most karnak had at any time was 312. does that mean that there is only 312 players in the karnak server? no, it means even at karnak's busiest time there was a total of 312 players online. at its "peak time" there were that many.

If they plan server merge, the option of switching servers would completely reductant if your listed on a closing server. I would agree on part of this if they listed servers they plan to close down and give us the option to select a server to move too which wasn't closing. THat is the solution, yes the only solution which would all other solution obsolete. Thank you ;D
We need it if the population isn't comfortable for their business. Yes, if the population is below a couple thousand players per server(not sure the standards, someone correct me) then a server merger notice will be sent out. I really hope they time this correctly for our own input on the matter.
This can be true but like FFxi, if you quit, I'm sure you will be back. That monkey will be on your back till you get your fix ;D
SE accountant will budget the cost effectivity of maintenance, service, business relations and so forth( don't ask me, just a layout), if they go in the red, the inevitable will happen, servers will fly!

My two gils think servers should stay the way they are, have open options to change servers to follow your friends, family and/or linkshell. Go to where your most confortable because this game was designed for the casual player in mind or was it not? A single casual can and could survive in a world of only 1k population if all he/she does is seasonal content and 1-3 player events.
What so you guys think?

Yes, I agree but I stated that given the option, a player should be able to choose which server and not be forced to a server. In any event and time, if the population doesn't increase in one server and over populates in another(Odin,FFxi), there'll be a mandatory server merge.

Soo..
2.0 release = Regional servers?
Yesplz?
(I stopped playing with lag back in 2005 when I got off of dial-up, I don't want to endure it again.)
I fail to understand the want for regional servers on this game.
NA's it would be far worse then Aion is atm, EU would just be screwed, and JP would be strong.
