But there is a massive difference between having more iconic outfits for males, and having just more general glams for females. The Thavnairian Bustier is most certainly not a replacement for something like Rinoa's outfit.

I don't even like most of the female locked outfits, but I'd love to have any of the outfits from the female counterparts of the male non-XIV characters we have. But sadly all we have is Lightning which is not a veteran reward so it must be bought from the Mog Station, and Yuna which is no longer available.

There is a very clear imbalance of how glams are targeted, towards both male and female characters. There should not be significantly more male representation for non-XIV characters, and glams in general should not favour female characters more. Both should be equal.

And please no one talk to me about how male outfits are more gender neutral so that's why we should get more male FF outfits than female. That's basically telling players who play female characters that they should be happy with hand-me-downs just because society says it's fine for a woman to wear men's clothing. I don't care if Squall's outfit looks good on a woman. I don't want to dress up like Squall. I want to dress up like Rinoa.

Gender locking should be abolished anyway. Let everyone wear whatever they want with whatever hairstyle they want. More cosmetic options is always a good thing.

They absolutely should expand these sort of glamour options, for both genders. However this is just one of many aspects of this game that get's left by the wayside as the devs move onto their next whim.

I think this is an excellent chance to bring these points back to attention as we are heading into a new year with so much potential. We need a revisit to what we are expected to accept as early content/veteran prizes for everyone, when it’s all clearly one-sided and a bit specific. I mean to ask us to pay full price for a lyse glamour, same prices as the original gosetsu and hien glamours, when we already own half the glamour in-game. The only difference is the in game versions of the shoes and glove style are dyable.

Looking at the two AF1 sets you are correct and now I dislike the male set even more ;-;

imo the saddest part of undershirts and filled in pant legs is that this is the perfect job for both genders to be impracticaly sexy and flamboyant cause thats what being a bard is all about.

Different tastes for different people, of course.... others have probably worked out by now that I'm not at all interested in "sexy" (I find it off-putting rather than appealing, for either gender) so I prefer the male version of the design. It's certainly still very flamboyant, and I think that's the important bit!

I didn't like the AF1 on my female character because of the missing shirt, but I tried to make it work on my male alt - gave up on actually using it in the end because it was "too bright" (it has a lot of that pure white colour that stands out very brightly, and doesn't dye at all on that outfit, combined with a tall character making it even bigger and brighter!) and I prefer my characters to go adventuring in practical clothing, but I liked the design. It's also the one costume that made me decide he really needed fancy earrings to go with it!

(Also I think the shirt would still be quite low on a female character, if they had it.)

As chance would have it, I only got the Aoidos (AF2) set for him about two days ago and I really like it on him, so after the first part of this discussion, I went and tried it on again with my main character and.... hahaha no. The shawl covers less than I thought it did, and she's clearly not wearing anything underneath the shirt.

The open front just seems a lot less noticable on the male character. It could be partly due to skin colour making it stand out differently, I guess, but it's also just not a concern for me in the same way.

And why would people choose to post their information to engage in a one-on-one conversation with you elsewhere, instead of holding the same discussion here where everyone can join in at once? This is an internet forum. I can't speak for others but I'm here because I want to have written discussions about the game.

So you’re just making baseless assumptions without first asking me how I even intent to reach out to people? Got it.

Just because you wouldn’t bother going to such lengths doesn’t mean everyone else thinks like you and what’s private about an open-ended discord channel? Hmmm it just seems like you assume I posted this without any thought to my words when it’s the exact opposite. I’ve planned carefully because I actually DO care about the discussion and topic I posted and would prefer to get back to discussing that rather than answering you’re poorly attempts at discrediting my offers of vocal chatting about something you haven’t even given an opinion on.

So if you’re done trying to poke holes in my attempts to reach out to the community, what’s your thoughts on the initial posting and opinion on the alleged imbalance I mention?
