At this point Squeenix could deliver gold on a platter and people would complain the platter is awkward looking! I agree with what your saying. But apparently people just want to sit around for 15 min and pick their nose.
I find this trend disturbing.
People really want to fight Moogles until they get all their gear so they can sit around these forums complaining about lack of content.
My ribs are in pain from the amount of laughter.
All I see is hurr.
Zotts! I agree with you very much, but I think the issue here is not the waste of time but how tedious the process is.
1.20 is the clear proof that this game needs test servers, because setting up a test server so we can warn them that they are screwing up in advance is easier than Yoshida growing the part of the brain that handles common sense.

I liked fighting the pig in the ring of trees; it was sort of sureal, and very much the kind of thing I expect from an RPG. The same with the monkey on the bridge. They should have placed Cassie and Spiteful in the same sort of locations where you could fight them without people training the spiggans through. I think this was the major frustration point when my group did it. Walking to each NM without agro isn't all that much different a challenge than sneaking through Ilrusi Atoll without agro to get to a BC. Having the sprigans randomly wipe your fight caused unnecessary pain. As it is they need to fix this in 1.20a. I can definitely see people quitting over this. Of all the people I did this with I was the least frustrated by it, and I am not sure that the gear is worth redoing those NMs 40 times.
The Tree NM required multiple full parties zerging it. I don't mind that, but it really would be nice to be able to make alliances. We helped one group of players and they kept loosing claim to our group so we had to redo it three times for them.
I want to add the moogle fight itself is good, and I love the opening cs. It really brings out the character of a moogle in much the same way that the grid cs with the moogles on parade did.

In general I really like this patch. My LS didn't find the NM's very hard with a full party. Once you know how the trees work its pretty easy. Once everyone has done it a couple of times it wont be a big deal.
Players need to do more dmg. this is redick!
so much fanboism in this thread lol :°D
moogle quest is just stupid, designed to make players waste time. deal with it. have you ever played a well made mmorpg, or just ff11 and 14?
no problems in killing the 5 nms, that's cool, but why put them in an area with level 99 trees (cool too maybe, sneaking may be fine) and aggro mobs just to make them link? that's just a way to make 1 single content to last longer (or just to frustrate players right before asking for money? wise thinking, really).
same thing with gc leves. takes like 13 hours (no way to reduce it, because gc leves are timed, guess why lol) to farm 4500 seals and get an item, and that's because they designed just 1 more quest for 1000 seals.
no problem however. i think that people will just stop playing this game after it's not free anymore.

i don't know if you are joking, but games are all about entertainment and fun, not wasting time.
moogle fight is funny and entertaining, moogle quest is stupid and not worth repeating (or doing maybe).
my personal opinion.
nice troll with picture (reported btw ;P ), but i think 50% of players disagrees with your ls (and with me, since i'll keep playing for a while probably, at least til 1.21). i'd very much like SE to fix this quest, and i'd like ppl to be less fanboy and learn how to make constructive critiques.
as always, the patch has good things and bad things. what i don't like is the lack of real content. i've done moogle quest, what now? repeat? no thanks. <- that's what i mean.
most of us, in my ls, have done this quest and we all think it's stupid and are not going to repeat it. that's a feedback from like 20/20 players, it doesn't matter if you agree with it or not.
