    Having to do that quest over and over again will result in either of these:

    a) Player keeps playing until he has every mog weapon, which is delayed greatly by the annoying quest, then proceeds to take a break from the game since he finished all endgame-ish content.
    b) Player gets sick of having to do that annoying quest over and over again and stops playing before getting all mog weapons. He could tell SE was using a cheap trick to try and trick him into playing more so he is less likely to return.

    Sure they would get the fanboys to stay interested in the game longer, but at the cost of their other players which are the majority.


    SE needs to face the fact that most of their current and potential customers are not OCD and have lots of alternatives when it comes to having fun.

    aion free to play in europe, star wars online, guild wars 2, and like 10 new offline games for pc and consoles (skyrim, just to mention 1 of them). wrong time to ask for money after adding a crappy content.

    i may sound cynical, but i'm seriously worried. so many friends are quitting this game (1 just ragequitted yesterday after the 7th link-kill before arriving to Boata).

    EQ2 went f2p this month as well.

    and you are one of the trollers who seeks flame in every thread? i honestly don't care. if you think that your picture is not offensive, then you have nothing to worry about, right? next time think before you post.

    we are trying to have a contructive talk here, nothing to do with personal stuff.

    if you like this patch then good for you, keep paying and have fun but you can't blame other ppl just because they don't think the same.

    but please, don't say that this quest is funny, lol. moogle fight is actually pretty good, yes, but the keystone quest sucks.

    The patch IS a waste of time. This is what SE/Yoshi has been doing with each patch: they tone down the pace of battle, crafting and gathering.

    First it was MP regen then low Dmg outuput and tougher mobs and now even LESS dmg output, slow TP generation, 3k TP skill requirement AND loooong CD.

    I understand the time sink concept and how it relate to a financial model; but seriously, this is getting more boring by each patch.

    My other beef is with skill removal! Are they really removing skills, useful skills I might add, just to be given to advance jobs? So they want people to look forward on using new jobs that uses OLD skills just because they are useful? Then what would become of the existing classes?

    And can someone please tell me whats the point of inferno totems and charms if they are STILL RANDOM DROPS?! and you still cant pass drops to your team even if you have the same weapons?

    I am really disappointing with the direction the game is going and if population is any indicator, I assume many share the same feeling.

    I take back what I said before, I didn't know you had to redo the quest everytime. That's aweful, here are 2 options that would make this better.

    1. Make getting the items from the NM's a 1 time thing.
    Or
    2. Erase the Trees.

    Ill pick option 2.

    I dunno, the trees made the zone come alive to me. It was the first time in this game that I felt truly immersed. Well, except maybe for the curious goat parades during leves

    I would be sad to see them go/get severely dumbed down.

    That's not to say I think we should have to get the drops constantly. Maybe place a time limit on the drops, say 24 hours of mog killing before the NM's get the ward up again.

    100% agree, but i might consider making it every few days, just because it can take a few hours with inexperienced players.

    I don't have a problem with either of these items, the thing that makes me tear my hair out is getting aggroed by a random mob who then instantly links with a tree and you die. That's it, in many cases I have died before I knew there was a mob that would aggro me. The second problem is you start running with your weapon out even if you are set to walk. Why? If I want to walk then I want to walk.

    Changing these two things would make the small NM fights just that little bit easier.

    I wanted to forward a few posts that Yoshida made this weekend in regards to your concerns about the Moogle quest and fight. He also listed the dev. team's current plan of action in addressing player feedback, too.

    As you have been pointing out, I am quite tired, but I have looked over the entire forum and I quickly created a patch 1.20 adjustment plan, not only for the Moogle fight.

    Tomorrow morning first thing we will be finalizing the specs and begin work on adjustment implementation, so we are trying our best to bring you patch 1.20a so you can all enjoy the game more.
