(+ any new glamour or gear for it) In the end I see this as nothing more but a new mini game and not main content. And I am not sure if the work for this mini game is worth it in the end and if they introduce even more mini games in form of other limited jobs then how much will that take away from main content?
Thank you for the good answer.

For me BLU is a bit more then a mini game, but i have to admit:
    1. I like leveling jobs
    2. I like collecting things (basically everything)
    3. I level everything, but only 3 Jobs at 70 are played most of the time.

Since we already know, that BLU will get updates, i would put it into the content that gets relevant again over time because of new spells and probably new Carnival.
Also i´m pretty sure, as soon as it gets lvl 60 it will be able to do Potd and at 70 HoH.

BLU will be great side content for me and i much rather get a limited job every expansion than another boring dungeon. We have more than enough different ways to get tomes by now that we don´t have to do expert roulette every day.

I also think, the time needed for BLU isn´t that bad, because they don´t need to balance the spells at all.

I do like to collect things too but for me at least its kinda just similiar like TT or even sightseeing log. Instead of cards or sightseeing points you collect skills and instead of batteling NPCs or other players you are doing the carneval and some old content. Honestly for me to make it feel less like a mini game it would need to be able to do current content and not only old one.

I also know that things might change later but Yoshida has outright stated that you wont be able to use Blue mage in deep dungeon or pvp. Which makes sense because for either of those you would need some kind of rotation and deep dungeon even has its own level system. I even doubt that we will ever get with that into stuff like Eureka. Yoshida also has stated that it wont be 80 in Shadowbringers (and we dont know when it will be 70 there either) because that much work and stress would end them. Which shows that it does take some work to upgrade it and that it wont do recent content at all because even Stormblood stuff will be old content at that point. (Just because it does not have a normal balance does not mean that is has none at all. They still need to make certain bosses immune to certain spells, and there still needs to be some thoughts about how they put that spell in)

Its fine that you like limited jobs the problem is that everyone who would want one of those jobs to be normal will be disappointed, while the content itself for those jobs might also stay limited thus might lose the appeal quite fast.

Because having the chance to chose the job you want to play with for current content makes it more diverse? Every job plays different thus even if you need to run dungeon x multiple times you can at least make it less boring by going into this with different jobs. I mean if we take your argument even further wouldnt that mean that (because many only level one job) we dont need new jobs at all in the future? Completely ignoring that some people might be more interested in playing the game for longer if they can use their favorite FF job anywhere?

Yes, correct, they should not add more jobs. They shouldn't have added more jobs after hw to be honest. Every added job just further increases the chances that we get bad job revisions, like mch, drk, and whm. Or alternately, just really boring ones like nin, sch and pld.

This is my perspective on the matter. It's something that both enforces and promotes leveling in a style alternative to the same boring dungeon grinds.

Also, during Heavensward, I made my post explaining how Blue Mage could work as a job like any other, and a lot of people didn't like it because of elements of the job that simply would not work with a regular job. You just can't have a standard job work the way that people wanted Blue Mage to work, and devs (especially Yoshi) knew that better than any player ever will.
