OP if you liked Eureka good for you. It's good to see that the game can cater to different tastes.
Personally for me Eureka sums up everything i ahte about MMORPGS and why i was so drawn to ff14 in the first place.
So to see it being brought in i was really dissapointed but can understand the reasoning behind it.
I do not though agree with the new relic weapons being tied to it.
They should have made Eureka as an alternative route to doing the relic quest rather than it being the only route or they could even have 2 different types of relic gear. One for each style of play. The second option would probably be better as then for the people who want to stand in same place for 10 hours and bash the same monsters over and over again will get some unique reward that doesnt make it pointless.

Love Eureka personally. Been fun and different. So happy it wasn't more of the same. Looking forward to Hydratos and the Instanced Dungeon for the conclusion. You're not the only one who like the content OP.

From what I've seen (anecdotal opinion inc.) most people don't raid, nor do they PvP.
Seems most people do MSQ and decorate their houses.
In my opinion it seems likely Blue Mage might just be a good start. It could wind up failing, a lot of people think it will, but the potential is there. I also feel Eureka as a concept was alright. I was looking forward to it, not putting much weight into people saying "it's going to be like Diadem all over again". The implementation was a failure, but it's not as if you can't implement a large zone with its own objectives without it being fun.

I think they have already one task they could be working on, which is PVP, which on release had been enjoyable, but, due to bots and changes to make it less rewarding, has died. I don't know if they can fix The Feast, but Astrologos is by far an easily fixable situation.

And... I've been waiting since 4.0 for Blitzball, which Yoshida repeatedly said he intended to make happen, and has avoided committing to it since.

    I'd like to know why.
Pagos seems to vehemently despise players having fun. The layout and the positioning of the fates makes me think that the devs wanted to punish players for the crime of not being max level.

    I've.....made peace with Eureka.
I can't call the content itself "fun" but I do feel satisfied when I finish progressing through a zone. The zone chat is nice for the most part and I feel like I get a small glimpse of the appeal of older mmos through it.

The core problem is I just don't enjoy mob grinding. I can tolerate it in small doses but ultimately Eureka is content I get through while listening to something else in the background and not something I fully engage with.

I've said it before. I prefer Eureka grind (Not Pagos) over Anima grind. In 3 days of Anemos release and I had already gotten my Anemos weapon and 5 days for the Pyros version. And what's more, I can easily get the rest of the items with less grind now, that the leveling part is done. For Anima, you're gonna go through the same steps for each weapon and 90% of these steps can't be done in parallel for other weapons as in Eureka. As of now I have 4925 Pyros crystals and 98 Penthesilia's flames. So that's 7 Pyros weapons I can make instantly if I had their Pagos versions.

Of course I'm not saying Eureka is flawless. It has a lot of mistakes that can be fixed to make it even better. Like making it an open zone instead of instanced zone, level syncing, adding quests that can be done for rewards etc.

Pretty sure they just wanted players to do at-level content and progress through the zone rather than bumrush every FATE that popped on the map knowing that 100 warm bodies would get it down for them. This was hampered by some missing things that would have helped tremendously like level sync making it hard to always play with people you’d like to. But “I can’t do that content until I’m a higher level” is like RPG 101 and the fact that people have been cultured to assume they’re entitled to every NM (or Hunt, or FATE, wow a lot of entitlement has built up) goes counter to this. Now I know that playstyle is popular, but I think SE has still given it huge amounts of support through all the other content that works that way. Maybe just let the people who were bored to death with that have Eureka and enjoy it, and wait for the next content that’s targeted at the train.

Probably a pretty big nerf coming in 4.5 in a little over a week. I suspect they'll buff the light from nm's and perhaps increase crystal and spawn frequency. I was starting to do the 31 frosted and have 11 atm but given I'm capped I'm just going to wait for the nerf and do them then. I still have crystals to grind in Pyros and the 650 isn't that easy to come by.

Eureka is three things now (soon to be four). So saying "I liked Eureka" is misleading

    I liked Anemos
    Hated Pagos
    Liked Pyros

So I guess that averages out to I like the content?
