Thing is for many that Stormblood was just a mass dissapointment. Granted they have tried Diadem, Eureka and in 4.5 we will get umm well you know, but for the most part SE like to play it safe and that is not always a good thing.

The biggest disappointment for me was Eureka. It was announced as one of the main features of the expansion and it was basically Diadem with a new coat of paint for the most part. Pagos was the breaking point I think for most people. Personally, I only bothered to do Pagos after the nerfs the most recent patch brought.
Pyros wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the RNG. A little RNG isn't a bad thing and it's part of an MMO. Too much is...well, too much. We shouldn't have to roll for random stats on our weapons. Nor should bunny fates be so random in that you may or may not even get a bunny, then there's another layer of RNG for which coffer you get, on top of yet another layer or RNG which dictates whether you get anything worth a damn.
Other than that SB hasn't been amazing, but it hasn't been bad either. The usual stuff has been pretty decent like the Beast Tribe quests, dungeons and raids. Ivalice (the 24 man raid) has been fantastic. Omega wasn't all that impressive until Sigmascape imo which started off with the Phantom Train fight. Good stuff. Alphascape as a whole was also pretty great. The MSQ story has actually gotten better over the course of the patches as well which was surprising. I loved the most recent story quests where we got to play as other characters. So yeah, some good and some bad. That pretty much sums up SB for me.
The problem I have with the other things is we did it before. For the 24 man raids, they where too easy, even blind. Do you remember what the first week of wipe city was? Or Dunscaith ? I was in groups where the timer ran out, now it is all too easy because people know everything from the past, just doing the same thing for the most part. The biggest disappointment for me was Eureka. So I would consider SB overall bad from the overuse of reusing past game content, but if it was somehow in a vacuum it was ok I guess?
Eh, there's nothing wrong with something being easy so long as it's fun. To me, the Ivalice raids have been fun. Can't really say the same about VA, WC and DS even though there was a little challenge in WC and DS.The problem I have with the other things is we did it before.
