At least nearly 130 people voted for this, which shows that there are quite some people here that want it in other content. Also its much higher than the ones that completely liked it. I know that this forum is not showing the whole playerbase but I do believe that this might be a good hint that more wanted it as a normal job and not some mini game. (Maybe some of us would have less problems with it, if SE was known for regularly patching all the side content and not letting most of them die off or barely getting anything new)

So much this besides the last statement.

Those of us that are active on the forums obviously make up a small portion of the whole player base. I'd bet that most don't really care that much about blu and limited jobs. They will play them till they are done then set them down until there is an update. Will that boost sub retention during patches? Maybe a bit. Then add in that some of those will be mad about the restrictions on the job WITH those of us that are already mad. Some like myself are boycotting the job/game over this choice of design direction. The part of the player base that will enjoy this content enough that it keeps them subbing to play it after finishing the Carnival is going to be quite small. So do you think that SE will continue to support content that might get them an extra month of some players subbing or put the resources towards something else that they think will net them better sub retention? This is why I don't understand why the side that supports limited jobs doesn't try to meet us in the middle instead of being hardliners that will rather risk the content not being supported in the future. I've seen so many on the other side say things like "I wasn't excited for blu until after the live letter" which sounds like they would have been happy if it had been freelancer or some unique job to 14 as long as they got content like this. Most on my side were the "please add blue mage!" and we are not satisfied with what they have done. They made a mistake in our eyes and hopefully they realize this and make blu and future jobs as FULL versions in addition to the side content that a lot of the community wants.
