I’ve never tried to solothem before. Is it possible as a level 373 drg even though we don’t have as much as other jobs in terms of self healing?

Never tried soloing them as DRG, but your avatar says you have PLD at 70. All of the ARR Ex primals are soloable by a lvl 70 PLD in basic AF gear. Might take you a while and you'll have to pay attention to some mechanics, but it's completely doable.

I don't think you can solo titan without someone else being there to break you out. I've only done the normal mode solo and this is what happened - once you get gaoled, it automatically counts as you failing the fight. I assume this applies to the extreme version as well.

Wrong. Extreme titan gaol places you in a time limited rock that should the cast bar finish hits you with a semi painful attack that any level 70 can shrug off. You only fail on hard, not extreme.

It can be. If you do enough dmg you skip Gaol. Have to save your bursts for those phases.

I solo farmed all the primal ponies early in SB, this definitely isn't true. The only time I failed Titan Ex is if I burst the heart down too quick and am in the gaol when he does his AoE after the heart dies. If I let him gaol me, then kill the heart once it falls off, it barely scratches my armor.

No. Ironically, Ex is the only one where it doesn't count as an auto failure - you just take explosion damage from the gaol blowing up, and that's easily survivable at level 70, especially the higher your item level is.

Oh right, I forgot about the gaol exploding in the extreme version. I haven't done it in a really long time, haha.
