All that BLU hate is just absurd

The backlash against BLU is not unsubstantiated. There's a reason there's backlash. And you might not agree with it, but it's a majority of players against this "limited job" system.

We want the game to succeed and thrive, which is why we want the change to BLU. You can agree with that or not. But it's in XIV's best interest to remove "Limited" from BLU's "Limited Job" description.

Please understand that change is not bad. No one is asking for Yoshi-P to be crucified for his decision. We're asking for a rectification of his decision, even if the job can't be implemented in time for 5.

Because ultimately I enjoy more of the game than I don't. But to ignore the flaws of the game is just having rose colored glasses and that helps no one. Well constructed criticism is vital to any product.

Don't nitpick on the poll question, that's pretty much what you guys ask for - by learn mechanic, i believe it's the whole 50 spells collection to gather - and make spell learning part of a job quest or some like that.

Aslo you yourself are saying that change is not bad : give a chance to the limited job system then !

Try it, and then yell all you want to change it, but at least, try it !

So many wow players say ffxiv suck and will never be able to play because of the slow GCD - and so many finally getting their hands on it like it and find the slow GCD not that bad anymore - even justifying it in the end...

OP, while I do agree with you, there are about ten maybe fifteen other posts either defending BLU or hating on BLU and in each and everyone one of them, it's the same people complaining and hating on it's design and restrictions. There really wasn't a need to give them another thread to complain in. Assuming they release BLU in part 1 of 4.5, we're about two months...maybe two and a half months away from BLU going live, so like it or not, it's happening. At this point SE can either cancel BLU, which will piss off those who don't mind the new system, cancel BLU until the skills have been reworked and we have pre-determined skills like every other class/job...in which people will still complain, or going into 5.0, change the way the duty finder and raids work, possibly eliminating the holy trinity of tank, dps, and healer.

While I agree with the first example they gave with BLU as it has happened to some of us that played BLU in FFXI, I don't agree with the second. Especially when you can summon a certain Primal(s) in Heaven on High and one shot a boss, so for that part, I don't see how BLU using lvl 5 death would be any different. So again, I do agree with you, but another thread really wasn't necessary.

Just brush off my entire comment by saying "you guys." I may be disappointed, but I am not posting thread after thread of hate. In fact, I've been holding my tongue on my opinion and been hoping it's actually fun to play. I even said that I enjoy playing many jobs and will probably enjoy it regardless.

And what? I said I enjoy 24 man and what I was saying was that convincing people to join a 24 man PF JUST for me to play Blue Mage in it would be very very difficult.

Also, SE literally doesn't have to do anything with 14. They could scrap the whole thing tomorrow. That's what I said. Not "SE has nothing to do with it."

Just because I'd rather a full job and I'm disappointed it doesn't mean Blue Mage will be bad, just that I'd prefer something else. It wouldn't have been an expectation if you didn't know BLU was coming.
But here you've been thinking for months : "what's that BLU job is going to be..." to be told it won't be a regular job...
And don't tell me you didn't know about BLU before the announcement...

As for the new FF game (XV ?), you knew it wasn't going to be turned based right ? You still played it though, and in the end you did like it right ?
Well I felt the same for FFXV, played it and actually enjoyed combat in the end.
I said it in other posts, but I was also expecting it as a regular job, but in the end, although not what I expected (I wanted something to lvl to 70) I will still give YoshiP's idea a try, as the way it was meant to be.
All that criticizing before even trying the content is in fact pretty rude and disrespectful when you think about it.
You can call it fair feedback, but to me, criticizing a content before even trying it is quite rude.
If I don't like it, I will contribute to feedback, but not until I reach 50 and have fully experienced the job, it's quest line and its final lv50 content.

It's only absurd to you because you clearly don't actually care about the job. I'd like to see them take your favorite job and turn it into glorified triple triad and see what you'd think of it.

It would be a net improvement tbh. Sam is already a limited job, practically speaking. Sucks ass to play 1-49. Gets even worse to play 51-61. Sucks in potd/hoh. Sucks in Eureka. Sucks to do anything in the overworld with. Is pretty much only fun in 50 and 70 content which is where I use it, but that comprises a minority of my playtime. Even though I main samurai, running through the story with it, spending all my tomestones on it, devoting an entire retainer to sam glams, doing Eureka just to get a glowy weapon even though I hate it with every fiber of my being; I spend more time playing rdm. If they redid sam how they speak about blu, I would end up playing it more, not less in all likelihood.
