Greetings and salutations, adventurers.

Actually Alphinaud at least, and thus presumedly the player's character and Tataru too, really did have his own room at Fortemps Manor - one of the stories from Tales From the Dragonsong War on the Lodestone actually depicted Alphinaud writing in this room (and stated outright it was his lodgings there), so by extension the WoL and Tataru would have also been granted their own quarters in the manor too story-wise:Greetings, fellow starved-for-Ishgard-content person...
I don't know why we didn't have a room at the manor right from the start. I get the impression from the story that we are supposed to be staying there, and one of the side stories (set post-Dragonsong) actually has Alphinaud in "his room" there.
(Also surely it would be a scandal that House Fortemps isn't even properly hosting their own guests, and leaving them to find their own lodgings at a dingy inn - down in the Brume of all places!)
So, if they were going to add it to the game now, maybe we can borrow Emmanellain's room while he's away? Would even give an excuse for not being able to customise it...
However, the game all but ignored that for the sake of gameplay flow (and probably technical reasons - why even bother then making the Inn at the Forgotten Knight available for players gameplay wise to use if they're instead given their own cushy quarters in the Pillars?), so alas all we got to see inside Fortemps Manor was the main hall and nothing else (unless that scene of Derplander hanging up his Bravura in a room somewhere in the Pillars and looking out the window in HW's CG opening movie was meant to be in Fortemps Manor too), with the game handwaving aside the question of whether the player ever actually stayed there in their 'off' hours.Originally Posted by FFXIV Lodestone sidestory 'Tales From the Dragonsong War ~ Words, Deeds, Beliefs'
Alphinaud chuckled as he remembered Estinien's ennui.
In the days since the dragoon vanished from his sickroom, he had found himself with an overabundance of leisure. Catching himself mindlessly tracing the patterns on the ceiling of his room at Fortemps Manor, he closed his eyes and let out a sigh. Another sleepless night.

That's what I meant though - everything in the story points to us staying at the manor, so it seems like it should have been easy enough to put the "inn room" (ie. an instanced bedroom accessed from town) not actually at an inn, but at the manor. It should be the same function - talk to the guard, get taken to your room - and only the description of it is different.Actually Alphinaud at least, and thus presumedly the player's character and Tataru too, really did have his own room at Fortemps Manor - one of the stories from Tales From the Dragonsong War on the Lodestone actually depicted Alphinaud writing in this room (and stated outright it was his lodgings there), so by extension the WoL and Tataru would have also been granted their own quarters in the manor too story-wise:

I'd love to have these gloves too ._.
I'm resurrecting this thread because 6 years later, and such a simple thing hasn't been added yet.
Please add these gloves, and shield to the game!
