First things first, none of these other games are going through a fundemental change like XIV is.

None of the other games that are "great" were released with the craptastic game we've been through.

And they are also creating some content that will eventually get erased come 2.0. I mean what else do you want? They are creating content for before and after 2.0. Go play one of those games, don't get your panties in a bunch because they aren't satisfying every little thing you want in this game.

i dont even game that often in general, none the less play this game very often.
i dont like WoW or Rift. neither suit my taste. in fact i dont think there ever will be an MMO that can suite my taste so i dont really worry about it.
im perfectly fine logging in when i get a random hair up my ass for a good five minutes. im interested in the games future so i voice my opinion and personal experience and knowledge.

again, i dont really care what happens to this game and if anything would like WoW and Rift to shut down for being so football jock oriented. a panda race? are you fucken kidding me?
when im not playing a video game im hanging out with my friends, practicing my DJing, shopping because i like looking damned good and reading.
the closest i have to care about the this game is the mage direction because i personally enjoyed having a huge arsenal of useless spells to play with when im soloing and having the low spell list reminds me of the few spells every other western MMO gives you.
plus, just like so many other people say things like "deal with it" and "haters gonna hate" well guess what, im gonna be sticking around these boards if and when i damned well please and will be posting when i so please, so......

its not a contradiction lol i am interested in the games future because of the plans presented, however, if it by chance blows up or i decide i end up hating it then oh well, ill just migrate to another MMO. explain that as a contradiction.

perhaps i worded myself incorrectly?
i dont care about the games future, i dont care if it blows to smithereens even if i enjoyed it. i only care about experiencing the bits of content that appeal to me during the games future progression.
even if i the bits i like dont come to fruition, then oh well, ill migrate to another MMO
its not really a contradiction because i dont care about the games ultimate success or demise, i only have interest in experiencing a few aspects such as 1.21. even then taking time out to experience 1.21 is like #5 on my list of things to do in that month.
again i dont see any contradictions. yay if the game succeeds? yay if it doesnt! if i get around to experiencing it, then more yay, if not? then yay anyway!

omg there are two subjects here.
the games ultimate success and certain aspects of the game i like. i dont care if the game succeeds yet i have a slight bit of care if i get to experience a few aspects of the game. not the games success, just certain things about the game that i like how hard is that to get?
