    I keep seeing these request posts whenever there is a DDOS or some other event causing players to be inconvenienced.

    I don’t know why you are expecting a credit (free month, free stuff, etc.) for your inconvenience. You agreed to the TOS when you have subscribed. The TOS contains no service level agreements that would warrant you a credit when you get inconvenienced.

    I do Service Level Agreement customization and costing as a Subject Matter Expert for a living for an ISP. I know what I am talking about.

    If you complain to your ISP about intermittent connectivity, and there is proof it is caused by their infrastructure, you could be compensated. That is their choice to do so in order to keep you quiet and and as a customer for a bit longer. If you didn't contract any SLAs prior to contracting, you don't get a credit usually.

    Here is the reality: SE more-than-likely doesn't own nor manage any of the equipment that the DDOS actually attacks (routers, switches, network lines, etc.). SE more-than-likely has contracted ownership and management of network devices to an ISP, or the Datacenter company that SE rents the servers from has contracted the network device ownership and management to an ISP. In reality, SE or the Datacenter company should be owed credits from the ISP for not protecting them adequately during the DDOS.

    I can shill for whoever I want by the way. Who are you do tell me who I cannot shill for?

    I had no internet for one week and I just got a postcard wich said that they are sorry xD

    Same here, because none of the ISPs I’ve had ever offer compensation for poor connectivity or repeated periods of “unexpected downtime in your area”.

    Spectrum. 3 months of free service since I provided them with logs, signal quality and other data since my Internet was absolutely attrocious. You have to get past their script readers and onto their technical staff/engineers. They knew the infrastructure needed upgrading in my area after the merger, and I was compensated for my troubles.

    Even taken at face value, how many hours of service were lost? Because you give the impression this happened several times, which is quite different than a random DDoS that took the servers down for less than an hour one day. Furthermore, you said yourself Spectrum knew their infrastructure was an issue. This wasn't a problem with SE or their infrastructure. Therefore, the two aren't comparable.

    I have Spectrum. Not once have I ever received free service. Thats with service all the way to the top.

    They upgraded our stuff too after the merger....

    I still don't see it. No free months here after repeat calls.... -.-
