    my vision of beast master is a job where weapon is whip. where you use echo to commute with beasts and animal and you work with them and tame the fight at your side kind like wow vanilla hunter but you have build up level up trust. as player you can have small pet like squirrel and such follow you in the cities large pet like tiger and drake can't huge animal like dinosaurs are more tank like

    for leveling you start out with simple animal once you get higher lvl you tame more advance pet. the beast tribe give you ability to tame they mounts as pets except bomb.
    beastmaster use Dex for combat. it dps job

    like in early version of Warcraft you have chief make advance food the pet like. pet have own exp bar more they improve the stronger they get.

    Sorry, but this isn't #MakeEorzeaVanadielAgain. Honestly, I'd be all for beastmaster were it not for FFXI fans clamoring for how it was in their game rather than providing something different that would still retain the job's thematic identity (which isn't as hard as you'd think).

    On the plus side, I'm pretty sure Yoshi mentioned something along the lines of putting it into XIV in the VERY distant future.

    If XIV had the open world content to justify it, or allowed us to bring Companions into instances in some capacity (even just a potions/food style optional minor damage boost kinda thing), I'd say Beastmaster could be a non-Job that just builds on the Companion system tbh. Everyone would have the Chocobo by default, people who want to dive into such a system can go out and collect all manner of beasts to tame, train, and use... I think that'd be a better way to have a "true" Beastmaster system, than whatever limited mess we get stuck with via the current job system (I'm looking at you, Summoner).

    XI Beastmaster didn't use a whip though, it used one handed axes, and Savagelf mentioned Warcraft rather than XI... I think you're a bit too eager to hate on XI if you're jumping at shadows like that...

    I think you are missing the point entirely. People want elements of the job present in FF XIV. It doesn't have to BE Beastmaster from XI, but it wouldn't hurt to draw inspiration from it. They just shouldn't do what they did with SMN and basically copy > paste WoW's warlock. If BST were the equivalent of WoW's hunter class though? Oh man...I'd be living the dream. Hunter main in WoW, btw.
