    If so, the lag causes the most stress in this game.
    I believe the reason for "1)" is that only 40 characters can be loaded on screen at one time (even for high end PC's), therefore as you're running through a town or the market wards for instance it's cycling through the closest 40 characters to load at that time. add slight lag depending on where you are in the world, and more lag depending on the machiene you're running it off of, you get this lag.
    For some reason Gridania is just super slow in this area, at the same time my graphics card runs alot hotter in Gri, so that probably has something to do with it.

    for "3)" it's something that'll be fixed with the UI/fundamental server and code updates coming with version 2.0.
    If i had to guess, the UI for that was built on top of the overly-complicated code they had, not because that's what they want, but because we need it to be there.

    for "2)" I'd like to know why we need those high delays myself, any chance we could cut /equip delays to 250ms and have the whole set of armour change with one animation blackout and in less then two seconds? i'd be happy :P

    It's not a paid beta. This is 1.0, and it's about as good as 1.0 can be.

    If you have a PS3, and you're lucky enough to be chosen, you might actually get into the real beta for the real game. But right now, you're not really testing anything, except perhaps your loyalty to the game.

    Just to confirm here... When I have to wait for the NPC to pop in Ul'dah to get leves--on good days it takes 10 to 20 seconds--is it my computer for the most part causing the lag? or is it the server lags fault?

    I personally prefer it to be fixed right now. Now when I click a button to use a WS, before the animation finishes, I would have already known whether I miss or land the WS. We can tell that from mob's hp bar. Its just not right.

    Attack motion should always come before hp drop. I don't see why players would feel more laggy when it's supposed to be like that in the first place.

    EDIT: mob is dead before our weapon slashes it? @.@

    the npc's rendering and even the game rerendering your character after a change to gear. that's mostly a engine problem (game/computers fault), I suffer from it as well.

    Interesting aside I had a couple friends playing around with loading the game into a ram drive, they said that the one thing they noticed immediately was that all the npc's would load up instantaneously. They would then start despawning due to the display limit as the game was loading in players.

    IF this change is going to allow us to actually evade monster WS like goats/apes kiting, then i'm all for it. Maybe that will also reduce the amount of player barbecued by Ifrit, especially us EU players.

    I'd say they should give it a test run, maybe from 1.20a to 1.20b and make a poll to let us decide in the end.

    Agree 100%. Unmask, let us test it out and if the player-base finds it that stressful just re-mask it

    Take that crazy High Enormous Notorious Tentacle Atrocious Infernal-Monster that was controlling 29 other mobs and touching everyone's computers with laggy evil!

    Agree'd. And not just EU, US players get that same issue as well.
