Nah, I just think this game coddles players too much. Out of all the online titles I've played, FFXIV is the one where players show a lack of basic standards and decency in harder content.
I can think of many that are far worse, but that isn't really the point of the thread anyway.

Pf can't get past like 15%. No joke.Pugs are usually a lot harder to be honest, since the playerbase you get may not have a solid set of skills you're looking for to beat that enrage. Tanks could be with dps issues, or the healers not dpsing in the instance. What % are you getting to when you run into the problem before the wipe?
PF is a nightmare as a whole.
Even Heavensward EX trials are a nightmare.

Raiding with Partyfinder gets harder with each raid tier. O9S and O10S are not that hard in my opinion. But some people making those fights harder than it should be.
First off all, finding the right group could take hours. Nearly any group wants 2 melees and 2 ranges. No doubles off course. Not even 2 mages. Everyone wants META. And I dont get it. 1 melee is more than enough (for melee LB3). Double classes (like 2 SMN or SMN+BLM) shouldnt be a problem either, if the performance is right. But no. Lets just wait 2 hours for a 2nd melee dps and abandon group because it took too long. If you re raiding as MCH with a friend who plays SMN, you have a chance of 1% to find a group who still needs both classes. Because nearly anybody is playing as ranged and especially as mage.
Another thing is the performance of the group. Having HW-META is nice, but its working not in Partyfinder. It only works, if everyone is timing their skills correctly (like in statics). But most people on partyfinder are like "I play like I want - fire and forget". That mears, you need a differenct composition to have a chance to beat content like O10S with the current gear. Especially for Omega 10 Savage, you need at least 2 DPS with high damage output and 2 DPS with enough support and enough damage off course.
But thats not the only problem with partyfinder. One of the biggest problems is how many people perform in savage raids. Stupid deaths on simple mechanics (or greed) or just playing the class totally wrong. Or not having food or even materias melded. There must something wrong, if a MCH is doing alot more damage than a SAM. In a kill group. I ve seen so many 1% enrages in O10S, because some players are get in panic extremely fast. I got even a O9S group last week, which said "weekly 2 chest" but as we completed it, it was actually "help a friend, 0 chest". And I m totally avoid groups like "bring high dps" because it actually means "bring high dps, because I m doing low dps". Some people just lie to you.
@OP: I would like to know how do you reach 15% enrage. To many deaths or low group performance?

I did stop joining these kind of parties when i realized that too very often, the leader asking for such high expectations is the worst of the group, and/or have a friend who need a clear, in short that they want to be carried.
I prefer to end up in partys that will stay together a while. I dont get why some people are disbanding after hitting a 3% enrage with several deaths : instead of going back searching several hours for a decent group who is capable of doing it, focus more on not beeing one shoted and the next try will be the succesfull one. I did lose a lot of time this week with such "omg 2% enrage with many deaths let's disband" groups before finding one that did stay despite the wipes to improve and get the clear. And that was only for O9S, i don't even want to know how awful pf can be for more difficult fights XD
With the latest savage it seems you have to be very very lucky that the stars align, that you find a group of people who get the mechanics well enough to be able to get through it and then have a good enough dps to clear.
Often on o10s groups wipe just at the start of the ad phase because they’ve made mistakes on the flips and spins and lost track, or the tanks don’t use cooldowns and die to the tail hit.
In my experience if even one person dies before the ad phase then the run is ruined :P
I guess I must have gotten lucky. I started progressing on it earlier this week and got the kill on Saturday. Only took me a few days. It helps if everyone is in Discord though. The group I got the kill with was really fun and laid back. Most fun I've had in a while.

I would say there is always at least a few deaths, I also hear people say that dps drops very low during certain mechaincs like Hot Tail. I also think there is generally just some dps missing. I finally hit two 1% runs last night. I think I'm very close to killing this BS of an encounter! lolRaiding with Partyfinder gets harder with each raid tier.
