I purposefully avoid difficult content while getting used to a new UI, and holy on 3 mobs is when you SHOULD holy... Keeper of the lake isnt a hard dungeon especially these days. perfect for new UI practice really. Why u so upset? also I was using dots although news flash aoe dot is not avaliable at lvl50 for WHM so I had to use st dots only. also my dot skill was bound to an unfamiliar key and it was literally the first time playing with the new binds. if you nitpick that you'll nitpick literally anything.

Wow, I'm not even as upset as you think I am. I know that aero 3 isn't going to happen that low. If you were using Aero 2 then I was missing them and the only time I noticed you using holy was where again when it's debatable if a small amount of holy does more than the amount of Stones you can toss out. Like I said in my orignal post I probably would have shrugged off everything if it hadn't been for you mentioning the UI changes. Yes Keeper is smiple and easy most of the time.

People are not obligated to say anything if they do not want to. I do not mind if people are quiet because we queue up to get a task accomplished.

A conversation is just a bonus. For me it is rude when people flip out at you over the most trivial of things, i.e. someone choosing not to heal me because I asked about their fairy not being out and no protect after 10 seconds after barrier down. Talking can also lead to misery too.

That reminds me of a library run I had where the healer told the tank before the gate when down to go crazy with the pulling. So, the gate went down and the tank went and did just that. At first the healer wasn't healing the tank and we kill the first set and the healer get's all you gonna wait for protect now? The poor tank is like what? You told me to go pull so I did. The dungeon continues on and it seems like everything is fine until the healer let the tank die on the second pull and I was a bit shocked because the only thing I saw that could have been wrong was a monster went after the healer during the pull. Nope that wasn't it it was the whole not waiting for protect after the gate was down. They kept at it for a bit and I had gotten tired of the arguing and asked if we could go on. The healer thought everyone was on their side so after my failed kick of the healer post wipe to the first boss after they had kicked the tank I left. The healer also thought the tank was the one with the attitude problem.

It's not debatable at all. It's pure math. Holy does more damage on any number of targets that's higher than 1. The only skills that a white mage have that's higher damage-dealer is Assize, but that's not spammable, and Aero III, but only if you count the entire DPS duration meaning that spamming it is pointless. It is debatable whether Holy spam is worth it on two mobs due to MP concerns, but its DPS is strictly superior.

That's what I mean the entire dps duration. They didn't seem to be dpsing much if at all only to do a few holys on three or less mobs near the end of the pull. So, sure they weren't going to run into mp issues. As I have said it's mostly a play style difference. To me the wind up for that short of a burst isn't worth it unless you end up using a cool down or two to really get your money's worth vs using your dots and tossing out a few stones.

Ravana HM as DRG. The main tank sure wanted to make the "DRG dies a lot" stereotype a thing, because he kept pointing the boss at me to get me cleaved. It ended up getting me killed once because he cleaved me too many times. Even used a potion + Second Wind + Bloodbath + Life Surge but it wasn't enough. Really wish tanks would stop trolling like that.

In my alliance there was a newbie and of course they said they were new. So me feeling happy that day I decided to help them a bit by saying : "If you follow what the party's doing you'll be fine. Have fun."

At each boss I would point the most important parts of them while still not telling them everything like : "Kill adds, stay with you group, stay close to the boss" and what no. I think discovery is the most fun part of a new raid / boss hence why I didn't say everything.

Obviously they died sometimes but who didn't in new content ? But then they would do great.

Now the big surprise came when I ended the duty. The newbie thanked me for the advice and when I quit...I got 5 comms !

Maybe we had more newbies in the alliance, I don't know. But this made my day a bit better

I really like having newbies in my groups. It can definitely spice things up a bit depending on the content, but it's just nice to see people who are excited to run something. So often it feels like we're all just putting in our time, and so few people make an effort to even say hello. They're a nice breath of fresh air.

I just had a run where I'm questioning everything. I'm leveling PLD and so far I've been used to wall to wall pulls. I don't tank so for me to do those is a testament to the healers and DPS's I've been getting cause I rarely if ever wipe. Well Doma fucking castle just now. THe healer told me small pulls so I was like ok. I get it. They either new or not experience with healing. And BOOOOY.... were they unexperienced. Wiped like 6 times in there. I'm using all my CD's mobs are dying slow as hell, and even in small pulls I'm barely getting healed. THen said healer is like I'm out of mp.. and I'm over here thinking.. HOW? You're not doing shit???!?! HOW? I don't know... I'm normally not this eilitist or O.o in dungeons as we all started somewhere. But the way this ran today just now got me on edge and I'm just .... Well you see me in here ranting.. that should say enough. And I'm normally the one DEFENDING people. Dear fucking god tho... can people learn to play? I know I'm not the best but holy shit. I've NEVER wiped so hard in anything in this game. There's learning and then there's " Are you even trying" Bonus points for who ever gets that qoute.

If things were taking forever to die I'm guessing a combination of inexperienced healer not using MP effectively and bad dps. And low dps will only compound the issue with an inefficient healer because they can't sustain their MP through the longer duration fights.

Ko, trust me on this, once in a while as tank, I encounter such a party. And when I do, I don't even look back; my duty window is already pulled up and my cursor is already hovering over the leave duty button.

I may have time. I may not have much but I will never hate myself enough to punish myself by mudding through a dgn that will definitely exhaust me mentally and ruin my game night.
