    Adding Gil Tips To Players

I think this game should have a tip (gratuity) system. To use it you would type "/tip amount" with a player selected. So to tip 500 gil you would select them and type "/tip 500" I think this would be great way to reward the players who work hard to get new gear and special emotes that look amazing. This could also be fore Bards performing, people dancing, or using entertaining abilities. This would benefit players who even spend their hard earned dollars on RMT gear from the Mog Station. I see a lot of players just standing around Limsa showing off their outfits. I think they should be rewarded for looking good and I think this would be a great way to do it.

I also think this would help SE sell more gear off the mog station for players looking to increase the tips they get

Edit: I'm suggesting this system because a lot of these people are AFK while they're posing or performing. So, you can't have them accept a trade. I appreciate the work they put into their appearance and if this is how they like to spend their sub time, I think they deserve some appreciation and reward.

Also, it's just rude to interrupt a bard with a trade window this is my suggestion for an alternative option

To deal with RMT there could be a limit around 5-10k and a 1 hour wait time before you could tip a player a second time. Trying to tip a player twice would give you the message "You've already tipped this player"

If it's not for you there would be an option to turn off receiving tips

If there's going to be a way to give or receive stuff without a confirmation window, then I would really prefer a way to turn that option off.

I like to make it rain as much as the next person but something like this can easily be taken the wrong way, or 'trigger' the players judging by the track record of the playerbase

Given how useless gil is in this game (500 gil? Thats not even covering ONE teleport fee), I think the much better reward you can give someone who you think has a cool glamour/mount/pet/emote/character in general is to hit /tell and give them a compliment (try not to be creepy, please... dont say anything to a female character you wouldnt say to a male, as rule of thumb).
Hearing "Hey, cool outfit!" or "Thats a really cute pet!" or "I really like the way your character looks" is probably a lot more worth than a pity amount of gil to be honest.

Well you would be able to tip way more than 500 if you wanted that was just a random number i picked for an example

I accept donations 24/7 via the trade window, provided I'm not AFK.

Eh I think just trading is fine. Someone should be able to decide if they accept the gil or not. If someone afks and misses out on free gil, too bad for them I guess?

The point of getting good glams/pets/mounts etc should be...those things, not the ability to stand around town and hope strangers toss them money.

Personally I'd think sending a tell is a better way to go about it. I always appreciate it when people just send something nice and simple like "Love your outfit!".

I've played other MMO's with a tip system for players who play music, dance, give buffs, or just look attractive or just plain impressive. It was really well received by the community. I think where the occasional player may try to open a trade window to give a tip, I think that's too much of a hassle and the player has to be paying attention which most of the people posing or performing are not doing or they're so caught up in the RP opening a trade window would be a hassle. A tip system makes it quick and easy you just type the macro and it's done no trade request, no need to bother the player. Also a lot of players may be uncomfortable giving a compliment but a small tip shows your support and you don't have to risk sounding like a creep

I'd prefer that they just allow you to send mail to anyone you like, regardless if they are on your friendlist on not. With that option, you could drop a little gift (gil or item) along with a nice message to the person in question.
