I will be paying, but only to get the story aspects. Do I feel it's worth it? No, but I'll do it anyway. The point is, I won't be happy about it because I won't be enjoying the game as a whole.

I wouldn't worry too much about Square's funds for FFXIV at the moment. I don't think they're expecting to make much till 2.0 which they are proven to be committed to even with very little money coming in, it will still be more than they have been making the past year. If they're still having problems during 2.0, that's reason to worry.

I'm playing because I like it. I hang out with my friends. We go out and kill strong hold bosses. we help LS members through ifrit. We farm sentinel/sipahi/mage gear. we do quests. we do DD, Totorak, Shpoeshae. we Spiritgrind and go for ridiculous tripple melds (damn you malevolence apathy and your ridiculous luck!)

I enjoy this game and will play it.

If you do not enjoy this game as it is, why are you wasting your time on it when you could be having FUN elsewhere!?

I'll tell you why those kinda people waste their time here. It's much easier to be angry and pout on a video game forum than to go out and DO something with yourself.
