You keep bringing this up like you're phenomenally proud of it, and telling people this will make them recognise you for the charismatic genius you claim you are.

What it makes me think, every time, is what the heck did these exchanges look like from the other person's point of view?

Did the person feel hassled by you? Intimidated? Did you hang around telling them how everyone else thinks you're wonderful and gives you gil out of the goodness of their hearts and the power of your persuasiveness, so why won't they hand over theirs?

If so, then they are not doing it because you've convinced them through your "superior" social skills. They're doing it because they want you to leave them alone.

    ---

I also find it hard to believe that people will join-and-leave your FC with only the conversation you described, unless it's because they're seeing the FC is totally dead and they'd rather find one that is more alive. (Or possibly they're the sort of people that join and immediately go to see whether the FC chest is unlocked.)

But is that really all that's said between you to cause them to leave? Or is your "time spent nurturing loyalty" (as you mentioned in the next paragraph) what's actually scaring them off? Because we've discussed this before. Repeatedly.

Over and over, you post about your ailing FC and how people won't stay in it. You get replies explaining that actually your displayed personality and approach to the situation might be having the opposite effect to what you want to achieve.

And then a month later you make another post showing the exact same attitude. "I'm doing everything right, why will nobody stay? Why the disloyalty?"

So, I've said before: stop talking about people like you only care what you get out of them - whether what you want is loyalty, gil, or their continued presence so you can be proud of your large, thriving FC.

Stop assuming you have wonderful social skills and charisma.

And for goodness' sake, stop telling everyone how much people are willing to give you gil for free.

I generally leave FCs after about a few weeks of trying mostly because I don't feel like I'm apart of anything in that FC. I make a comment, and no one responds. I ask a question and get nothing. A person asks if anyone wants to do a roulette, I offer, and never get an invite...or they invite someone else first, despite no one else answering the offer. Though I think the biggest nail in the coffin is Discord. I mean, like it all you want, it alienates the rest of the FC. I'm sure all the action in most of the FCs I tried out is happening in Discord. The arguement is that I should have joined that Discord server, but it's fairely likely the same thing will happen, I won't get the time of day.

At the end of the day, it's cliques. Either you are a part of them, or not.

... This isn't something to be proud of.

Sorry but, with your questionable attitude, I wouldn't want to have anything to do with your FC nor being 100 feet nearby :I

To jump off of this, I don't know how it is on Mateus but on Balmung while my FC was still active we communicated constantly with other FC's to help spread and receive word of potential scammers. It would not surprise me if OP's name and FC carry a bit of reputation that someone might not be aware of. At least not until someone sees them join it and decides to give them the low down. Scamming and being an abusive shill were the top two ways to get your name passed around in warning.

I had to think about how to word this. And there doesn't seem to be any other way to say it nicely, so ...here's your answer, in my opinion. FCs, at the start a lot of the time, are a reflection on their leaders. A bad leader will either lose members, or they will want the leader to step down if they like the FC itself. With that in mind, it takes a certain kind of leader to keep an FC running.

Based on past threads and things you have said before, it seems that the turn-off is...well...you. You seem quite narcissistic and attention-hungry. Take this for example:

That highlighted section - I have met toxic players with more grace and humility than you when you say this. If you want to leave, I'm not here to stop you. My pity well has kind of bottomed out these days. If you want to fix it, then maybe you need to identify your own flaws. Players, even friends, do not owe you any kind of loyalty in-game. You want to be a better leader and keep a good FC? Read the comments above my own. Figure out why they are saying that, and work on improving yourself as a player/person. Otherwise, you might as well be running a dead FC. Just giving you my honest, unfiltered opinion.

The trick is to kick everyone and disable applications. That's how you do it.

Well, you're so skilled everyone tries to get out of your FC. So either you're just a basic troll, either you're just an egocentric and narcisstic person. In both cases, you won't listen to anyone, so... yeah, please don't answer that guy anymore.

Well OP, just a thought here but...maybe you could, oh I don't know, stop manipulating members into giving you gil? Word around the block is that does wonders.

But you didn't hear it from me!
