Raid behavior is getting worse lately

And yet, most people I see complaining about RDMs (and sometimes SMNs) are not complaining about their damage; they complain when the RDM won't raise someone if the healer simply isn't in a position to (e.g., no Swiftcast, lots of raid-wide damage, multiple deaths, squishy tank...the list goes on). I've even ran into RDMs that won't raise whenever both healers are down, and instead we either wipe (8 mans) or wait for someone else to pick us up (24 man).

I'm more likely to call you out for not using Verraise to help instead of your damage. Just like I call out DPS that won't AOE when appropriate. A RDM or a SMN that won't help their party via raising when necessary is just as bad as a tank who won't use cooldowns or a BRD that won't use Refresh.

Use your kit.

Can't agree more. Had such a RDM in ridorana yesterday, he refused to raise and didn't even heal himself after one healer dc'ed and the other healer couldn't keep everyone alive. I don't see a problem in helping out, i spend most of the time on the first boss raising as rdm, which is better than wiping imo.

I don't even main RDM, but in dungeons/raids/etc I will always toss out an occasional heal. Or become a full time healer if necessary. I'm not a healer either (I despise healing) but if heals are needed from me as a RDM, then I will dish out as much as I can. It's a shame a lot of people don't get that RDM can be a decent pocket healer when the going gets tough. Oddly enough though I rarely see RDMs who don't raise others. Some don't obviously, but I see it actually happen more often than not.
