We'll just have to agree to disagree then. I'm pretty sure it's snapshotting earlier than the fire goes out so I consider it pretty much the same thing which means lowering the amount of space you have to travel across fixes the problem.There's a difference between "You were not in position when the cast finished/animation started and that's why you died/wiped/etc some seconds later" (standard snapshotting common in the game) and "You were in position with time to spare and it still killed you".
Suzaku's floor mechanic is the latter, and it's the only mechanic I know of in the game that's like this. And I do a lot of ex/savage content so I'm not pulling from a small number of experiences.
