in regards to the end of the latest story line quests
.... Couldn't we just use the same potion that we used for the not-princess of sui-no-sato, to return her soul to her body, on the scions that are unconscious and had their souls taken? It seems odd that the potion was in the main storyline, and yet it seems to have been completely forgotten.

We should at least try it. I'm sure the Kojin and the people of Sui-no-sato would be happy to help, and I'm surprised my character didn't suggest it at all.

Technically that's an optional storyline (happens after Shisui)...but the circumstances are not at all the same here. I think the souls might be somewhere else entirely and a simple potion will do nothing.

Of course I also think Alisaie and the WoL are next up for soul abductions so we'll see.

Black Rose, which was also a blue marked Quest, was mentioned by Totally Not Gaius Van Baelsar, at the end of this patch. Yes, Sui-No-Sato is side content, but it also was an Ascian Machination sidequest.

I believe this is a continuation of the pending plot revolving the first reflection of the world, and if this is right then a simple potion isn't gonna help to bring their souls back, we might have to leap there ourselves to prevent a calamity.

So chances are the expansion could take place in a Reflection? Makes me think of Wings of the Goddess, though replace time travel with different dimension (or whatever this situation would be called). Revisit zones we're already familiar with (though slightly different. For example: Coerthas not being a frozen wasteland), as well as new zones.

Black Rose, which was also a blue marked Quest, was mentioned by Totally Not Gaius Van Baelsar, at the end of this patch. Yes, Sui-No-Sato is side content, but it also was an Ascian Machination sidequest.

It’s kind of the same situation, but not quite. They’re both sidequests but they affect other events differently.

The Black Rose project happened whether or not we did the sidequest that gave us earlier information about it.

But to request help from Sui-no-Sato, we need to have personally done the quest to set that up.

The voice was definitely male, though. I really don't think Minfilia or even Hydaelyn had anything to do with it. Given that he was speaking about the future with such certainty, he may even be a character we're interacting with now, who is trying to contact us from the future. Honestly, my first thought (if it is a case of time travel) was that it's Alphy's future self trying to warn us of some big screw-up we're about to make that fouls up the whole timeline.

My theory is that it’s the WoD, we know that in his world he defeated the Ascians and that flooded the world with light, it’s possible that his timeline was ahead of ours and we are now living the events that lead to that end for the WoD and he’s trying to make us change it.

As has been said, it’s different circumstances, in the shisui quest her soul was just “floating” around in the world and the potion kinda brought it back, while in this case the soul has been sucked out of the dimension, it’s like comparing sucking up dust with a vacuum to sucking dust through a wall with a vacuum.

As for Black Rose, whether we do the quest or not is irrelevant as not-Gaius knows about Black Rose regardless of if we do. But for us to know to even try the potion we’d have to do the quest to have that knowledge.

At this point it is almost comical. That mark on your neck really just signs you up to get beaten down at every corner. Just when I through they would start expanding on the Scions and give them some time in the limelight with the Steppes chapter and Y'shtola, it is right back to princess Peach status 2 quests later.

I mean Urianger had 3 whole lines before he dropped.
